Defender announces pure delight after announcement made and transfer deal CONFIRMED

Arsenal, arthur

Arsenal have sold Konstantinos Mavropanos to Stuttgart following a £3million deal with the Bundesliga outfit.

Signed for Arsene Wenger by Sven Mislintat in January 2018, Mavropanos was earmarked as a player for the future at Emirates Stadium but saw his development seriously hampered by injuries.

A number of loan deals has been the nature of his career at the Emirates – but he really fell on his feet at Stuttgart and made a big impression for the Bundesliga side – who were keen to keep him on a permanent basis.

He’s made 55 appearances since joining in the summer of 2020 and the Germans are delighted that Arsenal have allowed him to leave – On making the loan deal permanent, Mislintat said: “Dinos brings enormous power and willpower to our game and has also stabilised at a high physical level.

“He has made a clear commitment to VfB and our path, and we are very much looking forward to continuing to work together.”

Mavropanos told Stuttgart’s official website: “I’ve always given my best and will continue to give my best for this great club.

“The trust of the management and the affection of the fans in Stuttgart serve as a great motivation for me.”
