Newcastle United fans told Saint-Maximin ‘can reach the very top of the game’
Allan Saint-Maximin is a ‘natural talent’ who can reach the ‘top of the game’ in the next few years, claims Federico Fernandez
Saint-Maximin has committed his future to United, penning a new six-year deal and describing Tyneside as his ‘home’, as The former Nice forward has quickly endeared himself to supporters with his direct style of play, and his interactions on social media.
His performances for the club have also given fans hope that they have enough quality to get the side back into the habit of winning trophies and possibly getting back into playing in Europe on a yearly basis.
And after seeing the winger agree a new contract with the club, Fernandes has opened up and claimed Saint-Maximin is a ‘natural talent’ who can reach the ‘top of the game’ in the next few years, Speaking on The Big Interview with Graham Hunter, Fernandez said:
“Allan for me has a natural talent that is difficult to find. His dribbling and his quality is amazing.
“He has a similar feel to [Ezequiel] Lavezzi. With the ball, they look like they’re in trouble but they always find a way out of people. They go down to the floor but get up quickly.
“The guy is young and if he improves his game and the decisions he makes, he will be in a few years at the top of the game.”
It is true and Saint-Maximin has the potential to reach the very top of the game, but unless Newcastle start playing European football and challenging for titles, it wont be at the TOON.
To keep their best players they need to show ambition, but with Mike Ashley in charge, that is a real problem
