Impressive star close to agreeing Chelsea deal Chelsea to open talks with £200 million superstar and Blues offered chance to sign £67 million Seria A star

Chalobah close to Chelsea deal, Blues to open Mbappe talks and Chelsea offered de Ligt in latest Chelsea news…

Trevor Chalobah is close to agreeing a big new contract with Chelsea after impressing under Thomas Tuchel

Last year, the versatile Chalobah, equally at home either as a defender or defensive midfielder, was on loan at French side Lorient, and it was there he caught the eye of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

Chalobah has started five league games already under Tuchel out of nine, scored twice, and after the 7-0 romp against Norwich on Saturday which kept Chelsea at the top of the Premier League, is expected to keep his place for the visit of Southampton tonight in the EFL Cup.

Now reports on the Daily Express have claimed that Chelsea are now keen to make sure that Chalobah is signed up a new contract and he is close to agreeing that deal, which could double his current deal with the club

The 22-year-old has admitted that watching Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy Abraham establish themselves in the Stamford Bridge first team over the last 18 months has inspired him to follow in their footsteps.

He admitted: “Having played with those guys for so many years, watching them gave me the motivation to know I can be there as well, to work even harder – and that gave me the chance.

“With Ipswich and Huddersfield it was a big test to go from Under-23s football into Championship football. At Lorient I knew if I did well, it would be a big step.

“I always knew I could play at a high level. I knew the ability I had. I adapted quickly and playing against Champions League clubs, against PSG, was an unbelievable experience.”

Chalobah is a classy young talent that is impressive, so if the reports are true, then he fully deserves the contract that he could be signing real soon

Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt,

De Ligt, who joined Juventus from Ajax in a £67.5m deal in 2019, has been splitting his playing time with 37-year-old Giorgio Chiellini this season, and is reportedly very unhappy with the fact that he is not playing on a weekly basis.

Chelsea were keen on bolstering their defensive options in the summer and came close to signing a number of players, but instead opted to save their money and wait until the coming transfer windows.

But now it seems that they have a real opportunity to land a player that they have been keen on for a good few seasons now, as De Ligt has reportedly been offered to Chelsea ahead of the January window

Goal claims that Juventus are ‘ready to offload’ De Ligt as they want his £280,000-a-week salary off their wage bill.

In an interview with Italian media last month, De Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, made it clear that the Netherlands international could be sold next summe

‘De Ligt could also leave Juventus at the end of the season,’ said Raiola.

‘This is how the market works, there are many clubs who are interested in his services.’

De ligt is a top-class defender that has all the attributes to be one of the best, so it has been a shock to see that he has had to share his game time with the Italian legend this season

If Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign the player, then he would be a great addition to that Chelsea back-line, as they are still lacking that classy defender

However, there are a number of clubs interested and De Ligt may feel that a move to Stamford Bridge would not give him the game time that he really wants?

Sevilla president Jose Castro has addressed rumours that Chelsea target Jules Kounde could leave on a bargain deal in the next couple of transfer windows

Chelsea have again begun the new Premier League season in fantastic fashion and are one of the clear favourites to win that Premier League title off Manchester City by the end of the season

But despite having one of the very best defences and attacks in Europe, there has still be alot of speculation in the media that Thomas Tuchel will be handed some funds in order to bring in a few new players, and Kounde is a player that many clubs want

The young man is already established as one of the best defenders in La Liga, and is also on the radar of the likes of Barcelona, City and Liverpool and with reports that The Spanish side are rumoured to be having financial difficulties meaning that the Blues have been linked with a cut-price move for the talented central defender

However, president Jose Castro has dismissed claims that the club need to sell the Frenchman due to their financial situation amid Chelsea transfer rumours: “To say that the club is broke is ridiculous,” Castro told AS.

“Last season we had a surplus, after a season without season tickets, without ticket sales.

“The deficit would have been resolved by selling Kounde and we showed that we are economically powerful and we will not accept €50million.

“To say that Sevilla is broke is to not have affection for the club.”

It will be very interesting to see just how this all plays out in the coming months wont it guys?
