Liverpool Werner message sent, Mbappe makes Liverpool claim, Klopp tipped to sign 24-goal hitman
Werner told to snub Chelsea, Mbappe sends Liverpool message, Reds tipped to sign Werner in the summer in Liverpool news roundup…
Liverpool have been backed to complete a summer transfer deal for the very impressive Timo Werner.
Liverpool may be the current European Champions and dominating the Premier League this season, but they have not been faultless under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp this season and may need to improve the side in the summer window.
And that has led to alot of speculation in the media which has suggested that Liverpool will be eyeing up a £68 million deal for Werner, who is easily regarded as one of the best young striker sin the game right now.
Werner is keen to leave RB when the transfer widow opens up in just a few months time and has constantly flirted with the idea that he could make the big money move to link up with Klopp at Liverpool.
But It was previously reported Anfield bosses had cooled their interest in Werner to keep an eye on their finances due to the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis,But Nicolo Schira – an Italian sports journalist – claims Liverpool are set to complete their swoop for the forward.
“The first choice of Jurgen #Klopp always remains Timo #Werner,” Schira wrote on Twitter.
“For him is ready a wages of €10M + bonuses. #Liverpool want to close the deal in the coming weeks.
“Meanwhile confirmed from Deutschland their talks on call after Easter.”
Kylian Mbappe has revealed how impressed he has been by Liverpool this season, saying Jurgen Klopp has turned them into a “ruthless machine”.
Mbappe is already regarded as one of the best players in the game, and is tipped to become a real legend of football in the coming seasons, as he is seen as the man that will replace greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
But still, there are many links to Mbappe and Liverpool still circling in the media, especially as there is talk that Sadio Mane could leave the club and make a possible move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.
However, away from the transfer speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool, Mbappe has opened up and admitted just how impressed he has been by watching Liverpool this season.
He told The Mirror: “This season Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy – but the truth is that is never easy.
“To be as ruthless as they have been would come from having a very good manager and lots of hard work in training. Performances like they have been having don’t just happen.”
Mbappe finished fourth in the vote for the Ballon d’Or that year, but he says climbing to the top of that podium to claim football’s biggest individual honour is not one of his priorities.
“It would be nice to win – but it is not something that keeps me awake at night,” he said. “I don’t think I have to win it next season or the season after – there is no time limit I have put on it.
“Always I will put PSG and the national team as my priority – then if personal honours come from my performances then it is a bonus.”
Timo Werner should snub Chelsea as him joining Liverpool would be a “marriage made in heaven”, according to John Aldridge.
German striker Werner, is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, with reports in the media all suggesting that he is seeking that big move to further develop his name in the game, with a host of top clubs linked with a possible move.
The German is one of the top scorers in Europe this season with over 25 goals in all competitions, and is tipped to become one of the most deadly strikers in the game, with many believing that Lampard is a massive fan of the talented young German and firmly believes he could add something to the side.
Chelsea failed to get their transfer business done in the January window but have already kicked off the summer window with the signing of Hakim Ziyech, who will officially arrive at Chelsea when the transfer window officially opens up, and will be looking to make a move for Werner in the coming months.
But Liverpool seems to be the preferred destination of Werner if and when he leaves Rb, and former Reds striker Aldridge has urged him to snub a move to Chelsea and make that switch to Anfield.
The former Reds star told the Liverpool Echo: “Liverpool and Timo Werner are a marriage made in heaven.
“From what I have seen of the striker, he would suit the Reds perfectly and offer a valuable option to Jurgen Klopp.
“He can play in every position across the front three and, in terms of his attributes, he has everything Liverpool would need.
“Especially his finishing.”
Werner is a brilliant little striker that needs to be at a club like Liverpool or Chelsea, but if he had the choice, Liverpool will be the move that he wants. But for the game time, Chelsea would be the best move.
It will just be interesting to see what happens this summer and if he actually makes that transfer move.
