Megastar would suit Arsenal – Arteta wants to build team around anticipated signing – PL winner would be great Gunners signing

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Emmanuel Petit reckons PSG star Neymar would fit in well at either ARSENAL or Man Utd.

Neymar has been a player that has been heavily linked with a stunning move to the Premier League – with reports suggesting that he is a player that Chelsea and Man United would like to add to his side.

PSG attempted to sell Neymar last summer but were unable to find a buyer for the Brazil international, who also wanted to stay at the French club.

However, ESPN reports that Neymar has changed his stance ahead of the summer window and is now keen on a move away from PSG, and there is talk that a move to the Premier League is on the cards.

Now – Petit has claimed that Neymar would fit in at the Emirates and has explained why – he told Genting Casino: “I think Neymar will suit any big club. If he comes to Arsenal, I would love it and I think he will too.

‘I think he will enjoy the technical football and the style of Arsenal. He would love to play with younger players as he is quite mature himself.

“I think he will be happy to move to Arsenal if that is the case. He can play on the left and the right, and because of his ankle injuries he can be a player in rotation.

“If he goes to Man Utd, I will be very happy for them and the Premier League.

‘They have Rashford and Sancho who can man both wings, but also have the skills to rotate so Neymar can easily fit into that cycle.”

Neymar is still one of the biggest players in the game and his name will bring in alot of revenue.

But anyone hoping that he will come in and set the Premier League alight – will bang in lots of goals and entertain the fans can think again – he is not that type of player anymore.

Plus we cant see ARSENAL paying his massive £500k-a-week wages.

BUILD TEAM AROUND RICE –

Mikel Arteta is looking to build his ARSENAL team around West Ham captain Declan Rice.

Over the past few seasons – Declan Rice has developed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that could go on to become one of the best in the world.

But so far the Hammers have not allowed him to leave – despite all the speculation and all the rumours that he is ready to depart – as they are hoping that he snubs a move to Arsenal

However – during the summer window it is widely expected that he does depart the club and seek a move to a Champions League side – with a number of sides interested in a potential move.

Arsenal are one of the favourites to get a deal done and now – Di Marzio has claimed that Arteta is looking to build his side around Declan Rice – Di Marzio told MyBettingSites: “Arsenal needs a player like him and I think it could be the right move because Arteta is a fantastic coach and Rice can grow with Arteta.

“He could have gone to Guardiola and Man City, Barcelona or Real Madrid but at Arsenal he will be the reference point of the club. He can be the man in midfield.

“I don’t know if the deal will definitely be closed but it will be a fantastic signing for Arsenal and him.”

Former United star Dwight Yorke, however, believes Rice would be far better off holding fire and waiting for Man City to come in with a more attractive offer.

He told Lord Ping: ‘Declan Rice will have to sit down and decide what is the best choice for him in the summer.

‘I don’t think money will be an issue, but you’re leaving West Ham to go win trophies and to play in the Champions League. Does Rice want to leave London?

‘He could stay and play for ARSENAL who have a project full of young guys there who are trending in the right direction. Chelsea are going through a transition, would he want to go into an uncertain period at the club?

‘Manchester United are the biggest club in England, but would he want the pressure of playing for such a big club? It will be a personal choice.

‘If it was me and Manchester City were interested, then they would be first choice because of how they play and the trophies they win.

‘I wouldn’t rule Manchester United out because they’re on an upwards trajectory and want to get better.

‘I wouldn’t go to Chelsea at the moment because of the disgruntled team. Arsenal would be a good choice if I wanted to stay in London, but Manchester City would be first choice and Manchester United second.’

GUNDOGAN CLAIM MADE –

Didi Hamann reckons Ilkay Gundogan would be a great signing for ARSENAL… but he still wouldn’t be enough to win the title.

Gundogan has won five Premier League titles since joining Manchester City in 2016 and scored four goals in his last four appearances to help Guardiola’s side overhaul long-time leaders Arsenal and reach the Champions League final.

Manchester City are keen to secure his services for at least one more season but the 32-year-old is yet to commit as he would likely receive a considerable signing-on fee if he joined a new club on a free.

Now – amid all the speculation and the rumours – Hamann has claimed that Gundogan would be a great signing for the club – but would not be enough to overtake Man City next season.

Hamann told Casinos En Ligne: “Ilkay Gundogan is at an age now where he needs to play in a dominant team.

He’s been a fantastic player for Manchester City, but he’s been average for Germany because we’re not as dominant with the ball.

“Would Gundogan improve Arsenal? Yes he would but he is 32-years-old so I would not sign him as a player who would make the difference in winning the Premier League next season.

‘He won’t be a player to make the difference in winning Arsenal the Premier League.

“With his hero status at Manchester City and Barcelona being interested, I’m not sure he would play for another team in England.”

ARSENAL may indeed be linked with a move for Gundogan – but if he actually leaves Man City – it will surely be for a move abroad.

He will not want to join the Gunners – he is far too loyal to Man City and Pep Guardiola

Why Neymaar we have Martinelli very young and athletic so for me Arsenal don’t want him not minding he is a super star player we are looking at Martinelli to develop to a super star too he is faster we need winger on the on the right side to help Saka when his is fatigue where need to fortify most are midfield, defenders and a top striker that is sharp and tall.
