BRAND NEW Arsenal signing sends message to fans after completing Emirates move!

Mikel Merino has spoken for the first time since having his summer transfer to Arsenal from Real Sociedad confirmed and revealed that he is really excited about the move to the Emirates.

Merino is a player that ARSENAL have been trying to sign for the past few week – there has been so many rumours about him making that move to the Emirates that is has always been a matter of when and not if.

But now it has been announced that he has completed that move to the Emirates and ended months of speculation about whether or not he would join, and After signing all the necessary documents and completing medical tests, Arsenal announced the signing of the Spain international on Tuesday afternoon.

And Fresh off penning a four-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months, Merino spoke to his teammates after being welcomed to the club by Arteta.

“Thank you all for the warm welcome,” he said. “I’m very happy to be here with all of you. I’m just excited for the season, hopefully we can keep doing big things as you guys are doing. Just thank you.” In his official interview on the club’s website, he added: “It was an easy decision [to join] because of the past years, how big the club is but also the ambition, not only watching the games but also talking to Edu and Mikel.”

“They explained the process they have been doing and the way they have been doing things, it gets easier for you to decide because you see the hunger and how they want to win. Me as a player, I want that in my career. I want to keep growing and winning is the main thing for me.”

Arsenal have been signing players that will add to that side this transfer window – Merino should add some much needed depth and quality to the side – he will be a great signing for the club we are sure.

ARSENAL fans are loving life at the moment and if the club can get a striker too by the end of the window – they will surely have Man City more worried than the Premier League Champions already are.
