Brilliant midfielder sent clear message about joining West Ham this summer
Paul Merson has said that Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse should not join David Moyes’s West Ham this summer.
With Moyes keen to make a few signings over the next few weeks – there has been alot of speculation that Ward-Prowse is a man that is wanted at WEST HAM.
Offers have been made and there is a feeling that Ward-Prowse is very interested in making the move to the Hammers – but the Board do not want to pay his massive £50 million asking price.
However – amid all the speculation and all the rumours – Merson has come out and sent some advice to the midfielder.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Merson said, as transcribed by WestHamZone: “If I’m Ward-Prowse, you’re not gonna play for England.
“You’re not playing for England anymore in my opinion, he didn’t play last year, I don’t think he gets in the team again, so does he go ‘You know what? If everybody’s staying, I’ll stay’?
“You’re gonna go to WEST HAM, you’re talking about West Ham you’re not going to one of the top six.
“You go to West Ham you’re working on scraps. I mean you stay there, it’s a lovely season you’re winning every week everybody likes a winning team.
“I dropped down the league twice, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth, I loved it.”

Stay in the Championship or join a side that should be challenging for Europe this season? It is not a hard decision to make from JWP is it?
He should seriously consider making the move to the Hammers as it is probably the right move to make – he would walk straight into the side and could make a real difference.
So, we believe that he should make the move to West Ham, it is a good move to make.
