Sorry Emery as €20million Arsenal target ‘dreams’ of signing for Manchester United
Belgium full-back Thomas Meunier ‘dreams’ of signing for Manchester United, despite reports Arsenal are interested in a move.
With Arsenal looking to revamp the side in the coming transfer window and acquire some players that will help the side get back into winning the Premier League, there has been a lot of speculation about whom the Gunners could try and acquire.
And one name that has been linked with a possible move to the Emirates is that of Meunier, who is seen as the ideal back-up of replacement for Spanish full-back Hector Bellerin, who has been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons.
The Belgian is in the final year of his contract and has been out of favour at the Ligue 1 champions this term, and recent reports claimed that Arsenal have already made contact in a bid to convince Meunier to make a move to London rather than Manchester.
But with PSG looking to receive bids of around €20million to sell Meunier, and L’Equipe say he wants a move to Old Trafford as he ‘dreams’ of the Red Devils.
United have also been linked with Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace as they look to sign a new right-back this summer after Antonio Valenica decided to depart the club after failing to agree a new contract.
Despite the fact that United are going through a transitional phase in their history, they are still one of the biggest clubs in the game right now and most players still dream of playing at Old Trafford on a regular basis.
And if Solskjaer is unable to complete a deal for Wan-Bassika, then a bargain move for Meunier may be a risk worth taking as the Belgian is a very solid right-back.
But The Red Devils will need to be careful, as there is a reason why he failed to break into the starting PSG line-up on a weekly basis, so they cant be fooled in getting this deal done.
