Will Lewandowski leave Bayern?

Poland manager Czeslaw Michniewicz wants Robert Lewandowski sign for Liverpool after he leaves Bayern Munich

Lewandowski has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks after admitting that he wanted to leave Bayern Munich after a number of seasons at the Bundesliga giants

All the big clubs have been eyeing up a possible deal for the man – and although Barcelona are leading the chase – Liverpool are one club that may be very much interested in trying to get a deal done.

Jurgen Klopp knows that he needs to add a proper forward to that attack in the coming transfer window and right now – there are not that many players in the game that are more deadly than the powerhouse

But despite all the rumours linking him with Barcelona – Man United – Chelsea etc – Michniewicz has come out and stated that he is hoping that Lewandowski signs for Liverpool when he leaves Bayern

“One thing is certain today, my story with Bayern is over,” he said at a press conference while away on international duty. “I realise a transfer will be the best solution for both sides.”

Michniewicz was present alongside Lewandowski ahead of Poland’s UEFA Nations League opener against Wales, and made it clear on his preferred next destination for the veteran frontman.

“I’d like to see Lewandowski in Liverpool since I’m a supporter of the club,” said the national team boss.”
