Midfielder tells Arsenal fans ‘move would be incredible’ Arteta makes striker claim, Boss reveals if Arsenal signing £50M man
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today…
ARSENAL midfielder Jorginho admitted that the opportunity to play in Brazil would be an ‘incredible experience’ amid the latest rumours that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Jorginho has been at Arsenal for a good few seasons now and has been a player that Mikel Arteta can really rely on, but this season he has really struggled for game time and that has led to many reports in the media that he is in talks over a move to Brazilian football.
And while appearing to hint that his current focus remains with Arsenal during this transfer window, Jorginho did admit that he would be keen to ply his trade in Brazil in the future
‘My contract is until June and my goal now is to think about the next game, which is in three days. There’s not much to think about, you know?’ Jorginho told TNT Sport when asked about rumours surrounding his exit
‘Things happen very quickly in football, things can happen overnight, but my mind is on the next game.
‘Football is a box of surprises, as we all know, but my goal is to think about the next game. I don’t even look, because it always happens. Every window that opens is always crazy, with a lot of information, a lot of things, a lot of talk.
‘But if you stop to think about all the talk you always have, then you end up wasting a lot of energy and it ends up affecting your work where you are. So my goal, as I said before, is to focus on where I am, which is here today, so that’s it.’
But asked if a move to Brazil could be on the cards in the future, Jorginho replied: ‘It’s a possibility, yes, in the future, it’s a possibility. As I’ve already mentioned, I have never played professionally in Brazil so it would be an incredible experience for me.
‘So this door is also open, obviously. Keep all the doors open and calmly decide what to do in the future.’
CUNHA MESSAGE SENT –
Wolves manager Vitor Pereira insists Matheus Cunha is not for sale and has not asked to leave the club, amid interest from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and ARSENAL over the past few weeks.

Cunha has been in brilliant form this season for Wolves and there has been alot of speculation that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in a move when the January window opens up in just a few days time.
Both clubs are challenging for that Premier League title, Carabao Cup, Champions League, so there are many more games to play before the end of the season and depth is something that Arne Alot and Mikel Arteta are keen on in the winter window,
But with the transfer window still open and there may be a chance to sign the Brazilian, Chelsea also appear to be one of those clubs who have been drawn to Cunha, with CaughtOffside reporting that the Blues are interested in him.
Pereira, however, says he does not expect Cunha to leave and the forward has made no indication that he wants to: “He knows what I want from him as a captain. Everything is sorted, he’s ready and committed for the game and to help the team.
“He’s my player. I think he’s not for sale. He’s committed to us and what we need from him.
“He’s never asked me to leave the club. He wants to help the team and be with us to try and win the game.”

Wolves may not want one of the clubs best players to depart, but at the end of the day, if an actual offer is made, Cunha may find it very hard to turn down such a switch.
ARTETA MAKES STRIKER ADMISSION

Arsenal scored more goals than in any other Premier League season last term as they amassed 89 points, and this season they have netted 43 goals in 22 league games this season – the fourth-most in the English top-flight.
There has been alot of talk in the media that a new striker is something that Arteta wants to bring to Arsenal this transfer window, especially as the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus has picked up injuries in recent weeks.
Now, amid all the speculation and rumours linking Arsenal with a number of players, and with less than a week remaining until the winter transfer window closes, Arsenal will have to move quickly and make their decision as soon as possible
Speaking to the media, Arteta said: “My opinion is clear. We lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. We lack goals, we lack people and we lack options. It’s clear.
“If we can get the right player that’s why we are actively looking at it. We are working on it, yes. Any player? No. Someone who makes us better. We need some help.
“Yeah (There is work going on now).”
