Benfica midfielder Orkun Kokcu has his sights on reuniting with manager Arne Slot at LIVERPOOL in January it has been claimed in the media over the past few days.

Arne Slot has started his reign as Liverpool in brilliant fashion as the Reds are now one of the favourites to win back that Premier League title from Manchester City, they currently sit top of the League right now.

But there are few areas of the pitch that Slot is reportedly looking to improve over the next few windows and signings players that he feels could help drive the club forward over the next few windows will become a must for the Dutch boss.

But Football Insider claim that Kokcu is open to moving to the Premier League and would like to reunite with Slot at Anfield with reports claiming that Slot has plans to purchase a new midfielder in January after the Reds failed to land Martin Zubimendi over the summer

Look, Kokcu may be interested in making that move to Liverpool and linking up with Slot, but there has been no suggestions that the Reds boss is interested in bringing Kokcu to the Premier League.

there has been some big names linked with a move to Merseyside and many fans will have a say on who they believe will improve the squad, and wee are sure there are very few that will mention Kokcu.

As we said, he is not really a player that LIVERPOOL are seemingly interested in signing and to be honest, he would be just be a squad member with the quality that Slot has in midfield.

But it will be interesting to see just who the Reds sign in the next few windows.

ALONSO WARNED

Xabi Alonso has been warned that he should be expecting to get a hero’s welcome when he takes his Bayer Leverkusen side to LIVERPOOL in the Champions League on Tuesday Night.

Now, ahead of the games between the two clubs in the Champions League, Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler has told the Spaniard that he should not expect a heros welcome at Anfield – Fowler noted: “It was a big decision to turn Liverpool down – and I know the LIVERPOOL fans were disappointed when it was announced. I think the supporters respected Xabi’s reasons. In normal circumstances, he would always get a warm welcome when he returns to Anfield.

“But after Rafa Benitez recently revealed how desperate he was to leave the club when he was a player, perhaps not… Xabi will always be a Liverpool legend for what happened in 2005 – but as soon as the game kicks off, the gloves will be off.

“I’m sure Anfield will make the atmosphere as hostile as possible for every visiting team. Everyone at the club has got high hopes that Arne Slot can take the team deep into the competition.

Fowler added: “Guiding Leverkusen to the title last season is an achievement that cannot be underestimated. Bayern showed they are still a top team by reaching the Champions League semi-finals and for Xabi to win a Bundesliga and German Cup double and reach the final of the Europa League illustrates what a fine coach he is.”

But there are few areas of the pitch that Slot is reportedly looking to improve over the next few windows and replacing Andy Robertson is something that many in the media are expecting to happen as the Scottish star seems to have lost that quality he has under Klopp.

Real Madrid registered an interest in signing Robertson in the summer as they target a replacement for France international Ferland Mendy, and there are some claims that they could come back in for the star at the end of the season.

And Per Football Insider, Liverpool are tracking the progress of Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri and are considering signing him for a cut-price deal. The player too is open to move to Anfield and is being considered as a long-term replacement for Robertson.

Ait-Nouri is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League and a player that is ready for that next step in his career, if he moves to LIVERPOOL , it will be a very good but of business for everyone involved.

He is a quality fullback that is for sure.
