Manchester United ‘READY’ to meet Spaniards asking price and solve big problem
Manchester United are tipped to come in strong for Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez, it has been claimed in the media.
The 22-year-old left Real Madrid for Girona in 2022 and has been extremely impressive since then, making over 70 appearances in all competitions, helping the Catalan club make a shock challenge for that La Liga title.
A return to the Santiago Bernabeu remains most likely for Gutierrez as Real Madrid retained 50 per cent of his rights and recent reports have claimed that they can buy him back from Girona in the summer for as little as €8m (£6.8m).
TeamTalk claims the Red Devils are ready to meet the Spaniards’ asking price. United were plagued by injuries problems on the left of defence in 2023-24.
That included Luke Shaw being troubled with fitness issues that meant he’ still not in match condition for England at Euro 2024
Bayern Munich have also expressed an interest in the Spain Under-21 international, so he has a plethora of options ahead of him.

Gutierrez had a brilliant season for Girona last season and it is easy to see why all the big clubs are interested in a potential deal for the left-back – but we are sure that a move back to Madrid is wanted.
The player is reportedly keen to show the Madrid giants that he is good enough for the club – so if he does leave Girona this summer – we are expecting him to make that move back to the Bernabeu.
But his performances for Girona certainly showed that he could be a brilliant signing for Manchester United – if they were able to get some sort of deal done
