Mikel announces attacker wants to stay, Arsenal offer will be listened too admits agent, Arteta told £70m target ‘has bright future, Arsenal get Aouar boost

Malmo will listen to offers, Balogun wants to stay, Chukwueze has bright future, Aouar boost given in Arsenal roundup…

Spaniard Mikel Arteta says the exciting Folarin Balogun ‘wants to stay’ at Arsenal.

The 19-year-old’s deal at the Emirates expires at the end of the season and he is keen to secure first team football, and there were reports in the media that Sheffield United are looking towards a possible deal for the talent in the coming transfer window.

Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire for Balogun to stay at the club for the forseable future, and is giving him a good amount of game time in the Europa League and domestic Cup competitions.

But now that negotiations have been resumed with the attacker, Arteta says that the 18-year-old’s desire is to remain in north London and sign a new contract. The Gunners boss was speaking after seeing the youngster score his first goal for the club during Thursday night’s 3-0 win at Molde in the Europa League.

“He wants to stay, we want him to stay,” he was quoted on BT SPORT. “We gave him the opportunity and he took it straight away.

“It’s well deserved for the boy. He’s working really hard.

“He had some difficult months with all the speculation around him, he’s handled the situation in a really mature way.”

Arsenal target Anel Ahmedhodzic’s agent has confirmed Malmo will listen to offers for the full-back.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has handed some serious money to spend in the summer window and delved into that cash fund to acquire players that have made this Arsenal side contenders for that top four spot

However, Arteta knows that he will still need to add to his squad in the coming transfer windows and keep adding to that defence in order to get back into that habit of winning the Premier League title.

And recent reports have suggested that The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old for some time and being impressed by his performances over the past 12 months, could be heading towards a January transfer offer.

But the defender’s father Mirsad claimed earlier this month a move away was being ‘blocked’ by his agent Markus Rosenborg, as he believes the Gunners are willing to prise his son away from the Swedish club for a fee of £6.9million but his agent was interfering.

However, Rosenborg has quashed such suggestions and insisted Malmo are open to offers.

ARSENAL target Houssem Aouar has been axed from the Lyon squad after refusing to train, according to reports in France.

The transfer window has basically just closed and Arsenal fans were left happy about the transfer business that Mikel Arteta managed to do, with the signings of Gabriel and Thomas Partey two deals that have got the club excited.

And While they focus on ending this season back inside the top four for the first time since 2017 and maybe adding some silverware to the cabinet, the Gunners have already started planning for their attack for the January transfer window.

And that has led to more speculation in the media that Mikel Arteta is keen to add Aouar to his squad, in order to give this Arsenal attack a bit more creativity and quality, something he has been lacking in the Premier League this season.

Now, they have been handed a boost in their chase to sign the talented young man after L’Equipe claimed the 22-year-old’s relationship with his club’s hierarchy is now under strain following a clash at the weekend.

The report adds that Aouar was left unhappy at being an unused substitute in Lyon’s 1-0 win over Angers on Sunday, and as a result, the France international is said to have refused to take part in the post-game protocol of warming down with his team-mates.

Aouar allegedly cited the poor condition of the pitch as why he opted against leaving the dressing room – which he retreated to before the final whistle – to take part in the half-hour drill.

The Ligue 1 outfit’s sporting director Juninho and director of football Vincent Ponsot are now set to drop Aouar for the game against Reims this weekend as punishment for his actions.

Villarreal manager Unai Emery believes Arsenal target Samuel Chukwueze has a bright future ahead of him.

Regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the game right now, Chukwueze has been attracting all sorts of interest over the past few months as his stock in the game continues to rise.

Arsenal are just one of a number of clubs that that become interested in the very talented young man, who now has a massive £70 million clause in his contract that teams must activate before they can get any deals done.

Now his boss and former Gunners coach Emery has opened up and admitted that the winger has a bright future in the game: “We are very happy with Samuel Chukwueze, he’s growing up with us at this club,” Emery was quoted on the SUN.

“In the future, he can go to another league to grow up more, but I think he’s very happy with us and every match he plays, he tries to give the best performance.”

Chukwueze does have a very bright future in the game, he is showing alot of potential and quality, so even though Arsenal are interested in a potential transfer deal, he is a player that will not be needed for a few seasons.
