Mikel Arteta Confirms He Wants £45 Million South American At Arsenal In Summer!

Mikel Arteta has strongly refuted claims that Arsenal are open to offers for Gabriel Jesus in the summer window and has no intention of letting him leave.

The Premier League season is far from over for many ARSENAL fans, and many are still dreaming that the club can pull off a miracle and bring that title back to London.

But there is also alot of transfer speculation in the media about players that will come in and players that will have to be sold, and according torecent reports on The Athletic, the club is eyeing reinforcements in attack and could be open to offloading Jesus or Eddie Nketiah to facilitate incoming transfers

It is also claimed that Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar has initiated talks with potential suitors, suggesting that Jesus may have options elsewhere in Europe.

The emergence of Kai Havertz has reshaped the team’s dynamics, pushing Jesus down the pecking order. Since the end of January, Jesus has started just two league games, while on three occasions he remained an unused substitute.

Arteta has now dismissed the sudden speculation that has emerged over Jesus’ future, shooting down the reports, and insists selling the 27-year-old is not on the agenda.

Asked at his pre-match press conference if the reports about the club being open to selling Jesus are accurate, Arteta shook his head and replied firmly: ‘I don’t know where this is coming from.’

Probed further on whether he has any intention of letting Jesus leave this summer, Arteta said: ‘No. no.’

Jesus us a brilliantly gifted striker, there is no doubt about that, But he is not a 25-goal a season striker, he can probably just about manage to play 25-games, he has not been good enough during his time at the Emirates.

Arteta is saying that he wants the Brazilian – but we would not be shocked to see him depart the club in the summer that is for sure.
