Mikel Arteta looking to wrap up Arsenal deals for these TWO £95 million rated midfielders
Mikel Arteta is reportedly planning to sign TWO midfielders after reaching an agreement with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game right now, the future of Aubameyang has dominated the headlines for Arsenal all summer transfer window, as he still hadnt signed a new contract with the club
But an announcement was made just 48 hours ago that he has signed a massive three-year contract to stay at the Emirates and become the highest pad player in the Premier League, with a £350,000-a-week deal agreed.
But now that Auba has been signed up to a new contract, the Guardian have claimed Atletico Madrid ace Thomas Partey and Lyon star Houssem Aouar are the top of his wishlist and Arteta will push ahead to try and get a transfer deal done for the pair.
Partey has been linked with the club all season and it is believed that he is open to the idea of making that move to Arsenal, but the Gunners have not yet been willing to meet that £43 million asking price, and no deal has taken place.
And it has been stated that Aouar is keen to depart Lyon, with his future to potentially be resolved in the next two weeks, although Arsenal would have to pay some serious money in order to get get a transfer deal done.
Earlier this week, the manager confirmed the club are still “active” in the transfer market, He said: “We are looking at different options. I would say we are active in the transfer market with players in and out.
“At the moment the squad balance is not the ideal we want to achieve so there is still some work to do.”
Look, if Arsenal manage to get these two players signed up, it will be a very good summer transfer window for the club and they will be serious contenders for that title.
