Milan star very likely to join after United open talks, Nani reveals why Fernandes is perfect, Zorc addresses Haaland rumours, Would Ramos be good signing?, United told £70m target has bright future
Milan star very likely to join Man United, would Ramos be a good signing?, Zorc Addresses Haaland rumours, Chukwueze has bright future and why Fernandes is perfect in Manchester United roundup
AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly ‘very likely’ to join Manchester United on a free transfer next summer.
Calhanoglu has been in fine form for the Italian side this campaign having chipped in with four goals and as many assists in 13 games, and that has led to alot of speculation in the media that United are very keen to add him to the squad.
Juventus were also keen to snap the ex-Bayer Leverkusen up, but the player is claimed to have rejected the Old Lady in the hope of joining United, that is according to SportBild journalist Christian Falk, who also claims the Red Devils are in advanced talks to bring the Turkish international to the Theatre of Dreams.
Asked about the club’s interest in Calhanoglu, Falk told the Stretford Paddock: “It’s true and I think this will happen because last summer there were already talks with his agent.
“I don’t know if you know but Juventus would have also have liked him last summer but he said ‘no’.
“He said no because he already knew what would happen this summer with United.
“Talks are already very, very far at the moment and he’ll be a free agent, so this transfer is very, very likely.
“He can be a good player if everything around him is working, then he can help United. He’s not the kind of player that if something went wrong he’d say ‘now we have to fight’.
“He’s a technical player, perhaps it is (Paul) Pogba to show him the way. Then I feel like he could do it at United.”
Bruno Fernandes is the perfect fit at Manchester United because he ‘only thinks about success’, claims Nani.
Since his move to Old Trafford just last season, Fernandes has become the most important player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and a constant match winner for the club, despite the fact he hasnt goy much help around him.
And Nani, has claimed he isn’t surprised the fans are ‘going crazy’ for the classy midfielder, The 34-year-old, who is now playing for Orlando City FC, told the United Review: “A big part of this team is Bruno Fernandes. Bruno now is a much better player than when we were playing together.
“He was doing great in Portugal but the Portuguese league is not the same as the Premier League. I saw so much potential in Bruno and I told him to go to England if he decided to move to another league.
“I said to him: ‘Your game will fit there and the fans will go crazy for you!’ The style of his football is something fans appreciate. He is a player who likes to take risks in the game, who wants to take the responsibility of the game on his back and make difficult passes, dribbles and shots.
“He doesn’t care about mistakes; he only thinks about success and making the team have success. He knows what that takes. That’s Man United, isn’t it? Bruno has done so well until now, scoring goals and setting up a lot of goals, but he will keep improving and making the team even better.”
Villarreal manager Unai Emery believes Manchester United target Samuel Chukwueze has a bright future ahead of him.
Regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the game right now, Chukwueze has been attracting all sorts of interest over the past few months as his stock in the game continues to rise.
United are just one of a number of clubs that that become interested in the very talented young man, who now has a massive £70 million clause in his contract that teams must activate before they can get any deals done.
Now his boss and former Gunners coach Emery has opened up and admitted that the winger has a bright future in the game: “We are very happy with Samuel Chukwueze, he’s growing up with us at this club,” Emery was quoted on the SUN.
“In the future, he can go to another league to grow up more, but I think he’s very happy with us and every match he plays, he tries to give the best performance.”
Chukwueze does have a very bright future in the game, he is showing alot of potential and quality, so even though United are interested in a potential transfer deal, he is a player that will not be needed for a few seasons.
Dimitar Berbatov has urged Sergio Ramos to join Manchester United, but would he still be a good signing.
Ramos has been at Madrid for well over a decade and won countless trophies on his way to becoming one of the very best defenders in the game, but his contract troubles at Madrid have now meant that he is back in the headlines.
It is believed that he cannot agree a new contract with Real and that has led to Berbatov telling Ramos that a move to United would work out well, despite the fact he is now coming towards the back end of his career.
The Bulgarian told Betfair: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Sergio Ramos, according to reports both the player and club are yet to come to an agreement on a new contract.
“With Ramos 34-years-old, they are probably fighting over a one year or two year contract. Thiago Silva, who is even older at 36-years-old has proven that it is never too late to move to the Premier League and so far it is working out well for the Brazilian.
“I’m sure if Ramos wanted to move to a club like United then it would work out well for him too. He’s in great shape, he’s still a world class defender and in my opinion there’s still a lot of football left in him.”
Borussia Dortmund director Michael Zorc has dismissed the ongoing transfer rumours surrounding Manchester United-linked striker Erling Haaland.
The 20-year-old has hit a staggering 33 goals in his first 31 outings for BVB across all competitions, and he is now considered to be one of the most deadly strikers in the game, and certainly in the Bundesliga.
United, along with the likes of Real Madrid, are reportedly ready to pay the big money to try and secure a deal at the end of the season, with reports suggesting that it could cost one of the clubs close to £100 million to nail down his services.
However, Zorc is paying no attention to the speculation surrounding the ex-Salzburg star’s future, as he told a press conference on BILD: “We plan for the long term with Erling. [Rumours] do not have to be dealt with at all.
“I will see him with us for a long time.”
Asked if it is important to carefully manage the weight of expectation on Haaland’s shoulders at this stage of his career, the Dortmund chief responded: “You don’t have to ground him at all.
“He exudes such a positive dynamic. Why should we slow it down now?
“He is leading the way, that is very good for us. I do not believe in artificially slowing positive developments.”
