Arsenal very close to Morata signing – Marquinhos on way in – Gunners given green light to sign Aouar in Arsenal news of the day….

Arsenal are ‘very close’ to signing former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports in Spain.

With reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta wants to bring in a top-class striker in the summer window to bolster that front-line of his, there has been links with a move for Morata.

The Spanish star is currently at Juventus on loan from Atletico Madrid, but with the Italians not keen on keeping hold and the Spaniards reportedly ready to sell, Arsenal could find themselves making a move for the man

The former Chelsea frontman managed just nine Serie A goals this season as Juve finished a disappointing fourth – a full 16 points behind league champions AC Milan.

It is no secret that Alexandre Lacazette and Ediie Nketiah look both set to depart the club, and Arteta will need to add another forward to that front line that has played at the top level.

Now – Sport claim the Gunners are set to pay £25m for the forward to bring him back to the Premier League as they look to push for the top four next year.

Morata is a player that has won countless trophies and scored a ton of goals, but he has never quite been able to reach that next level and become a world class striker, something that Arsenal need.

We have no idea who Arsenal will try and sign over the next window, but one thing is for sure, they need to sign a forward that has the ability to score more than 20-goals per season

And over the seasons – Morata has proven time and time again that he is not able to do that, he really struggled in the Premier League and Chelsea

So we believe that the Gunners should stay away from the Spaniard in the summer

Marquinhos on way in…

Sao Paulo are confident that Marquinhos’ move to Arsenal will go ahead and be announced shortly

The season is over and the transfer window is only a few weeks away from opening – meaning that Mikel Arteta can bring a few more players to the squad that will improve key areas of the pitch

The Spaniard let a number of squad members – that were no longer needed – leave the club in the January transfer window – meaning that he will need to buy players that will make an impact on the side – but will also add more depth.

Marquinhos broke through into the Sao Paulo side as a 18-year-old, making his debut against Flamengo in July, 2021 – and has been mightily impressive for the Brazilian side over the past couple of seasons

All the big clubs have been keeping a very close eye on his performances – his ability and his very low asking price – but it seems that Arsenal have now won the race to get a transfer deal done

And now fans have been told that the Brazilian believe that a deal will be wrapped up soon between the two clubs: ‘Sao Paulo still hasn’t received the money from Arsenal, but it’s calm,’ a source at the Brazilian club told Yahoo Sports Brazil.

‘The agreement has legal guarantees and the player has already undergone medical examinations.’

Meanwhile, Sao Paulo have been criticised for allowing Marquinhos to leave the club for such a relatively small fee.

‘This is absurd. This is absurd,’ said former Brazil midfielder Vampeta.

‘They’re going to lose Marquinhos to Arsenal for £2.5m. I don’t know if you remember that I used to say I watched Audax’s academy games, Marquinhos in the under-15s, he used to already make the difference.

“I said here on the show, ‘there’s an under-15 at Sao Paulo, Marquinhos’, now he’s going to leave on a silver platter.’

We do not know much about the lad – just what we have seen online – but he looks like a real talent and this is a massive move for him to make – lets see if he is able to be the next big Brazilian sensation to come to Europe

Gunners get green light to sign Aouar…

Arsenal have been given the green light to try and finally seal a deal for Houssem Aouar – as Lyon have put him up for sale

Now we all know that Mikel Arteta will need to delve into that transfer kitty in the summer and start to sign players that will make a real difference to the side -especially as they missed out on Champions League football

And there has been alot of speculation about players that could potentially get signed, and there now seems a real chance that the club are able to sign a player that they have been after for a good amount of transfer windows.

Aouar’s contract at Lyon expires in June 2023 – but he shows no signs of penning an extension despite joining the club way back in 2009 aged 11, and the fact the 23-year-old Frenchman changed agents to IMC Stellar Sports at the beginning of this year further implies he will be packing his bags.

In 45 games this season, the midfielder has scored 8 goals and 4 assists, a decrease in his goal involvements since his 2019/20 season which notably saw an impressive Champions League campaign

Now – RMC have claimed that Lyon have put the player on the transfer market and will allow him to leave for the likes of Arsenal if they receive the right offer

Look, there are always players linked with Arsenal way before the transfer window opens up, but Aouar is a man that Arsenal should have signed in previous windows, he really is gifted

If they do make a move, if they are able to get him for a bargain, and if they can get the best out of him, he would be a very special buy for the club

He would add a bit more quality to a midfield that has impressed for most of the season, but doesnt have too much depth to it.
