Mourinho wants £80 million man out of Man United with Chelsea keen to sign Martial
There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea target Anthony Martial out of Manchester United after the forward’s decision to travel home for the birth of his child.
The Frenchman had an unimpressive campaign under the special one last season and was limited to just 18 starts, scoring 9 goals in the process, as Mourinho preferred Alexis Sanchez and the exciting Marcus Rashford.
And that has led to a lot of speculation that he could make a move to Chelsea, with reports claiming the Blues see Martial as the ideal man to come in and help fill the void of star man Eden Hazard, who is ready to pack his bags, jump on a plane, and head over to Real Madrid as the replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
And after seeing Martial head back home to Manchester after the birth of his child, reports on the Daily Mail website have claimed Mourinho no longer wants the Frenchman in his squad and will sanction a move away from Old Trafford.
However, if Chelsea had any hopes of trying to land Martial on the cheap they can think again, as reports go on to claim that United will not even open transfer talks if the £80 million valuation is met, a fee which is putting a lot of clubs off.
United only paid £50 million to acquire the services of Martial, and although he is only 22-years of age, his valuation has neither increased or decreased during his time at Old Trafford.
