Moyes announces powerful new arrival ‘will add quality’ to West Ham after OFFICIALLY signing

West Ham boss David Moyes has announced just how delighted he is that the club have managed to sign Max Cornet

Right now, David Moyes is still in the midst of trying to sign some more players before the end of the transfer window that he believes will improve the squad enough to compete for more than a place in Europe

Fans have been very happy with the signings that he has made – especially Gianluca Scamacca – who arrived at the club after an impressive season in Seria A after netting 16 goals

And after weeks of speculation and rumours – West Ham have managed to sign Cornet from Burnley for a fee of just £17.5 million –

Cornet becomes West Ham’s fifth signing of the summer after striker Gianluca Scamacca, defender Nayef Aguerd, midfielder Flynn Downes, and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola – and after seeing another deal get done – Moyes has admitted his delight with the move

David Moyes said on the club website: “He is a versatile player with good experience, both in the Premier League and in European football, and will add strength and quality to our squad.

“He made a big impact with his performances for Burnley last season, and he has impressed me with his desire to improve and challenge himself further here at West Ham.”

Cornet really is a top-class player that will add a bit more depth to this West Ham attack – and will certainly add some more goals to the side

There is a few weeks left in the transfer window – so there is plenty more time for Moyes to try and get a few more deals over the line –
