Much-talked about West Ham target ready to sign up and make January move!
It has been claimed that WEST HAM target Ian Maatsen is ready to sign a new deal with Chelsea, and then look to leave on loan straight away in the January window.
After an impressive pre-season with the Blues, Mauricio Pochettino gave the young man some much needed game time in the early stages of the season, and gave him an opportunity to prove himself.
However – over the past few months the Dutchman has found it really hard to get the minutes that he had been hoping for and has spent much of his time watching from the sidelines.
That has led to all sorts of speculation in the media that he may look to leave Chelsea in the January window, with the likes of West Ham reportedly interested in a potential deal
Now the Football Insider website has claimed that despite the rumours that he wants out, Maatsen will look to sign a new contract at Chelsea and it is believed he could head out on loan once again in the winter window, should he put pen to paper on a new deal
Maatsen enjoyed a successful loan at Burnley last season as they were promoted back to the Premier League, notching four goals and six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

If the reports are true and Maatsen is seeking a move away from the club in the January window, it will be a very wise decision from the lad to make as he needs the minutes to improve and develop.
There are so many players at Chelsea, so many options for Mauricio Pochettino and that is why some of the younger stars are being forgotten about.
