Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed…

There has been some shock reports in the media which have claimed that Arsenal are now interested in signing Newcastle United star Miguel Almiron

Almiron had consistently impressed with his work-rate since his arrival from Atlanta United in January 2019 – but the attacker had struggled to deliver in the final third.

But The Paraguay international has been in scintillating form and was voted the Premier League’s Player of the Month for October after netting six goals.

And that has attracted interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal – According to Fichajes,.

The report says Arsenal are keeping tabs on in-form Newcastle United winger Miguel Almirón and are ready to try and make a move in the January window

Arsenal are reportedly in the market for a winger to add to their already talented attacking options – but they will need to outbid Atletico Madrid, who as per the report are favorites to land Almirón

Amid all the speculation – Jamie Redknapp has claimed that he feels sorry for Almiron – as the World Cup break has come at the wrong time for the man – Redknapp told Sky Sports at the weekend: “It is the individual success story of the season. I don’t think anybody could have foreseen the form he’s been on, he’s just been a player revitalized.

“Full of confidence, making things happen, scoring important goals, and it’s a credit to him first and foremost. But you also have to look at what the manager has done, bringing out that belief in him.

“We often used to see him do great bits of skill, then get in front of goal and mishit or perhaps shoot over the bar.

“Everything right now is going his way, and some of these individual goals are just world class. There’s no other way to put it.

“The only thing is I feel a bit sorry for him because this break has almost come at the wrong time for him.

“He wants to keep going, when you’re in this kind of form and scoring goals, you don’t want this break to come.

Ronaldo message sent –

Jack Wilshere believes Cristiano Ronaldo could ‘still bring something’ to Arsenal but has advised Mikel Arteta not to sign the attacker

Ronaldo has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season as he looks nothing like the player that scored over 20-goals for Man United last season – and that is mostly down to the fact he has not been playing under Erik Ten Hag

Ronaldo was axed by the Dutchman for refusing to be subbed on against Tottenham last month, as well as fined two weeks’ wages – and there has been constant speculation that he wants to make a move away from the club in the next window

The likes of Chelsea and PSG have been linked with a move – but now it seems that Piers Morgan wants to see the Gunners make the move for the five time Ballon D’Or winner

But despite the fact that Wilshere believes that Ronaldo will bring something to Arsenal – Arteta has been told to stay clear of the Man United star

‘I still think he would bring something for the younger players to look at,’ Wilshere told TalkSPORT.

‘To see how he lives and see how he does things. I still think there’s a benefit to have him.

Host Darren Bent asked: ‘You wouldn’t take him at Arsenal though, no chance. With what Arteta is building now at Arsenal, you wouldn’t take him?’

Wilshere replied: “I don’t think Mikel would have him. No [I wouldn’t have him either].

‘Obviously what he has done is bad, but he doesn’t have a track record of that. He stayed at Madrid for years.’

Even though he would be good to have in that dressing room at the Emirates – he would cause far too many troubles to be worth paying £400,000-a-week for

We are sure that he will leave Man United in the January window – and we are also sure that he will not end up at Arsenal – he is not the type of player that Mikel Arteta wants to have in his squad.

Mudryk message sent –

Mykhaylo Mudryk has talked up a potential move to Arsenal in January and revealed that he has been following the Gunners closely,

The 21-year-old winger has been in sparkling form this season with six goals and seven assists, establishing himself as one of the best young attacking talents in Europe.

He is a player that Arsenal have been linked with in previous transfer windows and he has not shone away from admitting that he would be open to a move to the Emirates in the coming weeks

Now the 21-year-old has given a lengthy interview with Vlada Sedan – Zinchenko’s wife – in which he spoke very highly of Arsenal and opened the door to a move to the Emirates, though he would be keen to speak to Arteta about his potential role in the side.

Asked if he has been following Arsenal closely – he told Vlada Sedan’s YouTube channel: ‘Yeah. I check on them on MyScore and know when they’re playing I can check on them.

‘I also watch them too. They are a very dynamic side, in general not just in controlling possession but also in scoring goals.’

Asked if the role on offer at his prospective new club – Mudryk continued: ‘From a purely hypothetical perspective if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal.

‘But it’s a tough question and involves a lot of factors in my answer.

‘I would first want to know from the head coach that even if I wasn’t a guaranteed starter, that I’d receive a chance.

‘Essentially I need to hear directly from the manager what he envisages my role in his side to be.’

Asked how he will decide his next club, he added: ‘The team’s style of play will play a role. It’s very important to me.’
