Arsenal make approach to sign 12-goal star – Arsenal ready to pay £56m to sign target – Arteta issues transfer message

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal fc news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed:

Arsenal are the latest team to approach French forward Marcus Thuram – with Mikel Arteta keen to sign some players this January.

After a solid summer transfer window that saw some quality players make the move to the Emirates – Arsenal are now sitting pretty at the very top of the Premier League

However – The Gunners were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Brighton after losing 3-1 at the Emirates, their first home defeat of the season and only their third loss of the campaign so far.

It shows that there is a lack of depth in that Gunners squad that Mikel Arteta knows he needs to improve on when the transfer window opens up – and they are now reportedly interested in Thuram.

The Borussia Monchengladbach striker has scored 12 goals along with 4 assist this season and is being targeted by other European giants.

And With Arsenal looking to bring reinforcements in January, Thuram could be on Mikel Arteta’s wishlist – it has been claimed.

The reports come after Mikel Arteta said that Arsenal are very likely to make more signings when the January transfer window opens

The manager said: ‘We know where we are at the moment. We know as well that we have certain injuries, and the squad is very, very short.

‘We have tried to manage that in the best possible situation. It’s the same when we win a football match so no excuses. It’s the same squad as when we win.

‘I said from day one that we have a short squad because at the end we left some players. It’s what we have.

‘If everyone’s available and no one is injured we are OK, but the moment there is, we know what it is. It’s nothing new.

“I think I said it the first day after the transfer window.

‘[January] is a window that is open and we’ll have to discuss the opportunities that we have, the capacity that we have for any changes and be on the market for opportunities because we don’t know what’s going to happen the last game before the World Cup.

‘So it’s a lot of options that are open.’

Mudryk wanted –

It has now been claimed that Arsenal are ready to pay £56 million in order to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudryk

The 21-year-old winger has been in sparkling form this season with six goals and seven assists, establishing himself as one of the best young attacking talents in Europe.

He is a player that Arsenal have been linked with in previous transfer windows and he has not shone away from admitting that he would be open to a move to the Emirates in the coming weeks

Recent reports on Calciomercato have claimed that Arsenal are edging closer to the signing of the exciting winger

The reports claims that even though Juventus are also interested in a possible deal for Mudryk – a move to the Premier League and Arsenal is one that he would much prefer to make

Now – according to Journalist Dean Jones – Arsenal are now ready to pay the big money it will take to sign the talented Mudryk – he told Give me Sport: “I think they would, yeah. And I think they know that they’ve got to.

“So, we think €65 million (£56m) is traditionally a lot of money in football, but it’s actually becoming a reasonable figure in the transfer market for the players with a high ceiling.

“And I think that that is an amount that Arsenal will be willing to pay.”

Look the lad is very talented and has had a brilliant start to the new season – but he is not worth that £87 million – that would be crazy money

And we cant see Arsenal paying that much for the lad – it is a crazy amount for someone that has done pretty much nothing in the game

We mean – Erling Haaland only went for £55 million.
