German would complete Arsenal deal, agent says, Gunners sent huge Auba message, Arsenal open Brazilian talks

Here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal news from

European football expert Alejandro Moreno has reassured Arsenal fans about the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang was signed by legendary boss Arsene Wenger just before he decided to leave the club just a few seasons ago, and the striker has gone on to become one of the best forwards in the game, becoming a real source of goals for the Arsenal.

However, he has been stalling on a new contract with the Gunners for months now as there is feeling that he is not happy with the direction of the club, believing that he would be challenging for Premier League titles and playing Champions League football by now.

But there has been a feeling in the media that he would stay at the club and sign a new contract at the club now that Mikel Arteta is in charge of the Arsenal, that is before rumours emerged linking him with a move to Barcelona.

Barca’s leading number nine – Luis Suarez – is out for the season after having surgery on his knee injury, Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann have both been impressive this season, but have failed to properly gel together, meaning that Barcelona are keen to add another striker to the attack.

But Gunners fans have been reassured by Moreno over the striker’s future, as he explained why Barcelona will probably look elsewhere instead of Aubameyang.

“I think it’s needed, if you talk about Barcelona and what they need,” said Moreno on the ESPN website

“If you talk about [Barca], Luis Suarez is injured, Antoine Griezmann – is he going to play down the middle? What are the options going wide?

“They do need a striker, they do need a presence that is a natural guy in the striker position.

“But, Aubameyang is a guy who needs space, he’s a guy who needs to run in behind.

“That would be useful, but Barcelona aren’t a team who play direct, they knock the ball around sideways and backwards.

“You need a guy who can play in a pocket of space, a tight area.

“That doesn’t need Barcelona doesn’t need a striker, it just means that’s not what they’re looking for.”

Shkodran Mustafi ‘would think about’ leaving Arsenal if a suitable offer was made for him, his agent has said.

The Gunners have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season with a number of poor performances from the players leading to the sacking of Unai Emery, and a possible relegation battle.

And it has mainly been the back-line that has caused the most issues for the Arsenal, as they simply cannot keep a clean-sheet, which has angered more sections of the Arsenal fans, who are desperate for the club to sign some new defenders.

And Mustafi, who has been plagued by injuries this season, has been a player that fans have become sick of hearing about after a number of high-profile errors for the club this season that have cost the club valuable points in their chase for a top four spot.

And that has ultimately led to a lot of speculation in the media that he wants out of the club, that Arsenal are willing to let him leave for the right price and if a replacement is found, but no such transfer has happened this transfer window.

But now his father and agent, Kujtim Mustafi, told Transfermarkt his son would be open to leaving the Emirates, he said: “He’s not a stressor. He’s currently having a difficult time in London, but he’s not someone who spreads unrest or brings bad spirits into the team or club.

“If something good were to come now, we would think about it. We’re not going to hell looking for a change.

“It must make sense and fit for him. Shkodran is the one who shows us the way and gives us direction.

“There is always a market for an internationally experienced defender. We always get inquiries. He felt very comfortable in Italy and Spain.

“He has never played in Germany, so maybe that’s an option. Then he has played in the top four leagues.”

Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli is set to triple his wages by the end of the season.

The Gunners were watching the young man for months before Unai Emery made the smart decision to hand the Brazilian starlet a big move to the Emirates, where he has been mightily impressive during his first season at the Emirates.

Despite the Gunners troubles all over the pitch, Martinelli has managed an impressive 10-goals in just 21 appearances for the Arsenal this season, and earned massive praised after he led the line against Chelsea during the midweek fixture in the absence of Pierrre-Emerick Aubameyang

Martinelli became the first teenager to reach double figures in a season for Arsenal since Nicolas Anelka and the feat is even more remarkable given the summer signing from the lower leagues of Brazilian football has started only 11 games since his arrival.

He netted a superb breakaway goal in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, and was hailed by his manager and team-mates following the game, but his form has sparked interest from Real Madrid, who are believed to value Martinelli at around £50m.

However, the Daily Mail claim talks are already under way for Arsenal to reward Martinelli with a pay rise from £10,000 a week to around £30,000 — despite his current deal not expiring until 2024.

Martinelli is an exciting young talent that has the ability to reach the very top of the game, so the news that Madrid are now interested and keeping an eye is not that surprising, but Arsenal need to wrap up a new contract for this young man, as he deserves a better deal than the one he currently gets.

As we said, this lad ha a bright future in the game and will surely be a regular starter under Arteta, so the news that talks have been opened will be massive for fans, who will be hoping a deal can be signed soon.
