Arsenal offer SUBMITTED – Attacker to hold talks with Arteta – 25-goal signing ‘exactly’ what Arsenal need
Reiss Nelson to hold Arsenal talks – Jesus offer submitted and Gunners told to sign Abraham in Arsenal news of the day….
Arsenal have submitted a £43million bid for Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus – it has been revealed in the media
He has managed 94 goals in over 200 appearances for the Manchester giants – but has never really been considered the main striker at the club and has always had to settle for second best
That has led to much speculation that he will be making a move to the Emirates at some point in the transfer window – as Mikel Arteta is keen to add a proven top-class striker to that Gunners attack.
Now according to GOAL, an offer has been “formalised” and that negotiations are “close to an end” – with the report adding The deal for the striker, 25, has been “sewn together” by fellow Brazilian and the Gunners’ technical director Edu.
esus’ agent Marcelo Pettinati recently confirmed that he likes the “project” on offer at Arsenal, but also claims that the Gunners are set to face competition from six other clubs for the Manchester City striker.
Jesus’ representatives opened talks with Arsenal last month and Pettinati says Jesus is attracted to a new start with the Gunners: “We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus, we like the project – it’s a possibility we’re discussing,” Jesus’ agent told Fabrizio Romano.
“There are six more clubs interested in Gabriel – he’s focused on the final games with Man City, we’ll see.”
We have never really got the chance to see whether or not Jesus could be that main man at Man City – so the news that Erling Haaland is coming to the club will now mean that he has to move
If he stays in the Premier League – Arsenal could be a very good move for the man – but we can seriously see him in Spanish or Italian football – there are some big clubs keen and those Leagues would suit his style just a bit better
However, will he be a good signing for Arsenal?
Abraham claim made….
Mikel Arteta has again been encouraged to make a move and bring Roma striker Tammy Abraham to Arsenal during the summer window
Chelsea and Abraham made the big decision last season to part ways when Italian giants Roma came calling – with many believing that the Blues would not regret their decision to let him leave.
However, After registering 25 goals in the current campaign, there have been suggestions that efforts could be made in the next window to return him to his homeland – with the Gunners reportedly keen on a transfer deal.
It is no secret that Mikel Arteta will be in the market for a new striker – but with some of his transfer targets looking like they could go for big money – Abraham is a man that has come onto the radar
Petit, speaking to Genting Casino, said: ‘I really like Tammy Abraham, he is of course still with Roma in Italy. He’s a tall guy, physical, he can run fast, he has improved.
‘The way he’s playing with his teammates as well, he’s improved in terms of finishing, this is exactly what Arsenal need.
‘He’s a totally different player to Eddie Nketiah and I think they need different options up front and to me, Abraham could be a very good option, especially after what happened at Chelsea.
‘If you give him the opportunity to come back to England, especially in London, he will come back with a feeling of revenge.
‘In a way, there are some similarities with Romelu Lukaku when he came back from Chelsea, he was looking for revenge.
‘In football, I like that kind of thing. It’s important mentally. For his quality as well in front of goal, I think it could be a very good deal.”
Abraham would surely love the opportunity to lead one of the big clubs in the Premier League – but with the demands so high in the English game – making a name for himself outside of the Premier League is really working
We could see him coming and joining Arsenal – but it would be a mistake – not because of the size of the Gunners – but he is just better outside the English game
Nelson to hold talks…
Reiss Nelson will reportedly hold talks with Mikel Arteta over his Arsenal future as Feyenoord look to keep him on loan
The 22-year-old winger linked up with the Dutch outfit last year after being deemed as surplus to requirements at the Emirates – and he has gone on to be a relative success with the Dutch giants
He has featured in over 30 games for Feyenoord and it is widely believed that they are hoping that they can striker another loan deal – or even a possible permanent deal – with Arsenal for the winger.
But should he return to North London, he will remain behind the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe in the pecking order and will find himself sitting back on the bench at the Emirates
And according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Feyenoord are desperate to keep him at the club for another season. – but he will hold talks with Arsenal before making any decision on his future
He tweeted: “Reiss Nelson will discuss with Mikel Arteta to understand his Arsenal future soon.
“Feyenoord want to keep him on loan for one more season, as they can’t afford permanent move.
“There’s interest from English clubs to buy Nelson but priority will be to understand AFC plans.”
There are probably a few fans out there right now that didnt even know that Nelson was still an Arsenal player – but he has been impressing over in the Dutch League and is starting to develop nicely
A move back to the Emirates may be on his mind – but there are some players that need to leave in order to make a name for themselves and that is what Nelson needs to do
There are too many good players ahead of him for him to even get a sniff in that Arsenal first-team – so we would not be shocked to see him get another loan move away.
