Star has already told Maresca where he wants to play – having Chelsea MEDICAL now!

Pedro Neto has already told Enzo Maresca where he would like to play after Chelsea agreed to bring the attacker to Stamford Bridge – as he arrives to complete his medical.

Neto, who sees his contract at Molineux expire in June 2027, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, but Chelsea make the shock move to get a transfer deal done this weekend.

Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market over the past few months and have signed a number of players for the future – but they have not signed stars that will be able to make an immediate impact on the side now.

However – that is about to change as Pedro Neto is now joining CHELSEA with The Athletic report that an initial fee of £51.4m has been agreed, with £2.57m in bonuses to come if the Portuguese winger meets targets.

He is now at the club completing his medical – but the winger has already told new boss Maresca what his preferred position is: “When I’m on the left I would be more vertical, but on the right I have more options: bringing the ball to the middle or going outside,” Neto said in an interview with The Telegraph last year. “I always say that if I’m running on the pitch I am happy! I will play in any position. I don’t feel any difference.”

Chelsea will be hopeful of completing the signing before next weekend’s Premier League opener against Manchester City. Neto could well be in the squad for that one – and then a swift return to Molineux a week later to take on what will then be his former club.
