Liverpool working on Portuguese deal – Brazilian to sign up – Madrid give £130m boost
Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed –
It has been claimed that Roberto Firmino is ready to agree a new deal with Liverpool until 2025.
Firmino has been at the club for quite a while now and has helped Jurgen Klopp win a number of trophies at the club – but he is now in his final 12 months of his contract at Anfield
And after the summer arrival of Darwin Nunez – it was expected that he will spend alot more time on the bench as Klopp looks to get the very best out of his big-named signed
However – the Brazilian has performed better than expected this season and some say – has been alot more impressive than the big new transfer signing
Now The speculation surrounding Roberto Firmino’s tenure at Anfield has finally been resolved with the Brazilian forward looking to extend his contract until 2025 – according to Calciomercato,
The report says – this contract renewal might give Firmino another chance to shine for Liverpool and fulfill the faith Jurgen Klopp and the managerial hierarchy have shown in him.
Firmino must know that he is no longer a number one starter at the club – so he would surely be happy to help the club when he is needed
So the news that he is looking to extend his stay with the club will come as some great news – as he is a big fans favorite
And he is still a player that Jurgen Klopp can rely on – which is something that managers love to have in their squads guys that is for sure
Bellingham boost –
Liverpool have reportedly received a boost in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Ever since his move to Borussia Dortmund just a few seasons ago – Bellingham has devloped into classy midfielder and a man that Chelsea are keen to try and sign – if you believe all the reports.
It has been claimed that he will not come cheap though – as the likes of Liverpool will have to splash close to £130 million to try and get a deal done.
Now One of those clubs that is chasing Bellingham – Real Madrid, are not prepared to meet the £130m fee supposedly set by Dortmund. That comes from Spanish news outlet Sport.
They say that Bellingham is the ‘objective’ for Madrid, adding: “In England they take it for granted that Liverpool have him tied up for 100m euros, but Real Madrid believes that this is not the case and they trust that it is the player who decides where he wants to end up.
“The footballer’s entourage assures that he wants to play with the Whites, but, as in the case of Liverpool’s entourage, there is no confirmation of the optimism that both teams have to take him away.
“What is clear is that Madrid will not reach the 150m (euros) that Borussia could ask.”
Bellingham is developing so nicely at Dortmund – that many are hoping that he stays put as moving too early could ruin his career.
If Liverpool really want to sign the lad – they will and quite honestly – a move to London could suit him nicely
But is massive news to see that Madrid will pull out of the race because of finances
Neves wanted –
There has been come claims that Liverpool have been putting in the work to try and sign Ruben Neves from Wolves
Jurgen Klopp was cautious in the summer transfer window and only added a couple of players to the squad that he believed would help fill the void of stars leaving
However – the start of the season has not gone to plan for the German coach and Liverpool are already well off the pace of Manchester City and Arsenal in the chase for that Premier League title
And that has led to constant speculation in the media that Liverpool will hand Klopp some more money in the coming transfer windows to add some players to the side that will add some more quality and depth – with Nunes a player that they are reportedly keen on
Nunez is rated as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and it is widely expected that this will be his final season with Wolves – as he looks to take that step up in the game
And according to TEAMTalk., they have put in ‘major work’ on Neves over the summer, and he could be approached come January.
Nunes has shown real quality and looks like a man that should be playing at a higher level than Wolves – but it will be interesting to see if Liverpool do make a move for the man in January.
He has all the quality and ability to be a real star for Liverpool and for the money that he could be going for – could be a great bit of business too
