Here is a roundup of the latest Liverpool and Manchester United news.
Liverpool target Ruben Neves has intensified speculation he could be set for a summer move to Anfield, br praising Jurgen Klopps men.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has built up quite a squad at Anfield and they are now considered to be one of the best sides in Europe, especially as they sought to end a 29-year drought to regain the Premier League title, while also challenging for a Champions League crown.
However, there has been some speculation in the media over the past few weeks about whom would be coming in during the summer transfer window to help take Liverpool to that next level, and Wolves midfielder Neves has been a shock name to make the transfer list.
Neves has impressed this season for Wolves and with Klopp, seeking to add some more depth to his midfield area, has been keeping a close eye on his performances.
And Neves, who was coached by Red coach Pep Lijnders in the Porto academy, has lauded Klopp’s side a ‘great team’ following their 2-0 defeat at Anfield on the final day of the season.
He said: “We had our chances to score, but Liverpool is a great team, they had a little bit more go and unfortunately we lost, but we left with a great performance I think.
“It was a difficult game. We all know what Liverpool is, how Liverpool play, but I think we did a great game. We lost 2-0 but mainly in the second half we controlled the game really well.
“We knew before the game that they wanted to win, because they were fighting for a title, but I think we played like usual.
“We had a really good shape, were very organised and waited for the right moments to attack. I think we played well.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t score today, but mainly in the second half I think we made a great game.” (Read More)

Antoine Griezmann has told the likes of Manchester United that he will be leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.
The brilliantly gifted attacker has been linked with both United and Barcelona over the last few seasons, with both clubs looking to add another ‘special’ player to their already impressive squads.
But despite all the speculation and transfer talk, Griezmann has so far not left the current Europa League Champions and has never given any real indication that he sees his future elsewhere, as he is playing top-level football on a regular basis and winning silverware with Madrid.
But is seems he has made up his mind where he will be playing next season, after announcing on his Twitter account that he will indeed be leaving the Spanish giants at the end of the current season.
He was Atletico’s inspirational figure when they won the 2018 Europa League, scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Olympique Marseilles in the final, before helping them win the UEFA Super Cup. Griezmann also lifted the Spanish Super Cup in 2014.
Griezmann, 28, said he had told Atletico coach Diego Simeone and chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin of his decision and addressed the supporters in the video message.
“I wanted to tell the fans who have always given me a lot of love that I have taken the decision to leave, to see other things, to have other challenges,” he said on the Marca website. (Read more)
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should target Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, according to ESPN FC pundit Craig Burley.
Griezmann this week sent the football world crazy after confirming that he will be leaving Madrid at the end of the season in search of pastures new, with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona linked with a move.
United have been keeping tabs on Griezmann for the last few seasons but have failed to complete a transfer deal as the Frenchman had not intention of quitting the Spanish giants.
But he will be available for the highest fee this season, with some reports suggesting United were prepared to pay the £108 million fee for the services of Griezmann.
But Burley has urged Liverpool boss Klopp to make a move,.
“I actually think that Liverpool would be a great place for Griezmann to go this summer,” he said on the ESPN website
“Liverpool are very much a team on the up at the moment and he could aid Roberto Firmino who also likes to drop deep.
“Liverpool are a huge club who are fighting for league titles with Manchester City and have reached the last two Champions League finals.
“I don’t know if they have got enough money to do it but I wouldn’t go to Manchester United, that’s for sure.
“You talk about how good Griezmann would be linking up with Messi and Barcelona, what about with Liverpool’s front three?
“You look at that and we talk about Liverpool needing that strength in depth, he would add that and Firmino or Salah some games might sit out.”
