That prompted Manchester United to make a move for the impressive young Yoro – who is rated as one of the bets young centre-backs in world football and a player that only cost £50 million for United to sign this summer.
And after seeing the Frenchman make the move to Old Trafford – Branthwaite has now opened up and revealed that he is fully focused on Everton – He said: “I think for me it’s just about taking what I learned from last season, and the season before, and putting it all together.
“I think last season, playing all the games I did helped me put performances in and get the experience I needed. I’m going to take that into this season and keep learning.
“When you’ve got a good defensive record, it gives you confidence going into the new season.
“It’s not just the defenders who contribute to that, it’s the whole team and it’s the way the manager has us set up to give us the best possible chance to win games and to pick up as many points as we can.
“I think it’ll be the same again this season. Hopefully, we can pick up a few wins early on and get the momentum going in the new season.”

Ollie Watkins has been urged to snub a potential move to Manchester United and stay at Aston Villa.
Rasmus Hoijlund ’s form improved towards the end of his first campaign at Old Trafford and Joshua Zirkzee has just been signed by United – but that has not stopped rumours that Ollie Watkins is wanted.
Watkins was in fantastic form for Villa this season, breaking the 20 goal barrier in the Premier League and is now rated as one of the best finishers in the Premier League and a man that could lead that Manchester United attack.
However – Ex-Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers star Stephen Warnock told BetVictor: “Ollie Watkins’ England prospects depend firstly on what Harry Kane does next and also on who comes in to replace Gareth Southgate as manager.
“He likes having that pressure on him to perform well. What he’s found at Villa is that Unai Emery has improved him as a player – he respects that hugely.
“He knows that working under Emery is the right fit for him. He plays in a system that suits him, which gives him opportunities to score and create goals.
“The difference now as well is that he’s likely to be playing Champions League football.
“If he goes somewhere else, he may not quite fit in, he might not settle and the new manager’s philosophy could be a different style of football.”
