New signing excited about Chelsea move – Blues told to sign £103M man – Chelse in talks to sign PL winner

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

New Chelsea signing Kendry Paez says he is excited by the prospect of linking up with Enzo Fernandez at Stamford Bridge.

Since the arrival of Ted Boehly at the club last summer – the Club have been spending some serious money on some of the best young talents in the game right now.

It is clear that the American has a long-term plan at Stamford Bridge and has made sure that Chelsea have beaten off their rivals for those talents – and it seems that they have once again done it with the possible signing of Paez.

The 16-year-old insists he is keen to continue his progression in Ecuador but is looking forward to playing alongside Fernandez at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield.

‘I don’t feel pressure, I am focused on Independiente, on the Libertadores and trying to continue playing in the best way,’ Paez told ESPN SportsCenter.

‘To get there I have to keep working, be focused on learning. It will be something special to share things with players like Enzo, with other special ones.

‘It’s wonderful, but now I’m focused on Independiente del Valle. There are two years to go, I know it goes by quickly and I’ll keep doing my thing here.

‘I’m Kendry, I’m going to give the name to Ecuador. I’m going to continue being me, I don’t want to be compared to Messi. He’s very special, he’s the best. I’m 16-years-old, they cannot compare me with him, because I’m in a process.

‘I have things to improve and gain a lot of experience. Later, with time, perhaps with what I win, maybe with Kendry Paez, the Ecuadorian. It’s me and no one else.’

Chelsea fans will not get to see the lad make the move OFFICIALLY for a number of seasons – which is a shame – but hopefully he will not get forgotten about and lost in that CHELSEA system when he does arrive at the club.

It is a massive decision from the lad, as it could make or break his career in the Premier League.’

Chelsea told to sign Osimhen

Scott Minto has said that Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea should sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

CHELSEA are one of the best sides in the game – there is no doubt about that and have some world class players – but the one thing that they are missing is a world class striker.

Graham Potter and Frank Lampard used Kai Havertz as his top man – and he does ok at times – but he is not a natural goal-scorer that can hold the ball up etc – and struggled last season,

He has been linked with a move away from west London after another frustrating season in which he scored just seven goals in 35 Premier League games.

And that means that new boss Mauricio Pochettino will need to add a world class striker to that attack – with the impressive Osimhen a man that he reportedly wants.

Previously, it had been reported Napoli would only accept offers of €150m (£129m) or more for the Nigerian forward, but they have lowered their demands and will not accept £103 million for the star

The 24-year-old said earlier this season it was his dream to play in the Premier League. He scored 31 goals in 39 games in all competitions for Napoli this season

Now TalkSPort pundit has told the Blues to sign the Napoli striker – he said about Osimhen and Chelsea: “I like him as well, and he would be my guy.”

Osimhen is a top class striker that has the ability to score goals on a weekly basis – something that Arsenal have been missing –

But £103 million is crazy money and CHELSEA would be quite foolish to splash that amount of cash – they should pay no more than £80 million.

The Blues definitely need a striker in the summer window – it will be interesting to see just whom they sign.

Chelsea in Sanches talks

CHELSEA are reportedly in talks to sign Brighton star Robert Sanchez this transfer window

With Mauricio Pochettino looking to improve a number of positions at the club – adding a new stopper is something that the Argentine boss is keen to do.

Edouard Mendy and Kepa are simply too unpredictable these days – and there is a feeling that one of them could be sold this transfer window in order to finance an arrival of another goalkeeper.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are also targeting Sanchez and are currently in talks with Brighton.

Sanchez still has two years remaining on his current deal with Brighton, but would jump at the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Sanchez’s future at Brighton remains uncertain after he was left out of Roberto De Zerbi’s side towards the end of the season.

‘He decided everything. Robert decided everything at the moment. He wanted it this way [not to be in the squad]. Not me, not the club. We spoke before the Arsenal game and we decided together the best solution was to stay home,’ said De Zerbi.

‘Yes, yes, but with Robert I have no problem. I decided to play with Jason [Steele], not because I don’t like Robert, because Robert is a top keeper, but I’m a coach, I have to decide and I have to decide before the game.

‘You can speak after the game, it’s easier for you, but I am the coach, I have to take the decision before the game. I took the decision to continue with Jason, only this. That is my right.’

Sanchez is a decent stopper – but he is not better than what CHELSEA have and honestly he would not be improving that defence.
