New signing says ‘right time to join Chelsea’ – £54M winger agrees terms – Chelsea close to deal for £97m man
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –
It seems that Chelsea are on the verge of completing another summer deal – with Romelu Lukaku all set for a summer switch.
Lukaku has no desire to make a return to CHELSEA during the summer window and instead would like to stay with the Italian giants – who in return – are open to keeping him again for another season.
He has made it clear during his last stint with the Blues that he would prefer to be playing for Inter Milan and it appears that his attitude has not changed,
The Belgium international has struggled with injuries this season but still managed to end the campaign with 14 goals in all competitions.
According to 90min, Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Italian side Inter Milan over the future of striker Romelu Lukaku.
One of the issues preventing a deal so far is Inter’s precarious financial situation, with Chelsea adamant that they will not agree to another loan deal without an obligation-to-buy clause being included.
Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to trim his squad ahead of the start of pre-season and Chelsea are keen to resolve the futures of players he has deemed surplus to requirements.

Lukaku is done in the Premier League and that is why CHELSEA should allow him to leave.
He clearly does not want to be at Chelsea so there is no point in keeping him and the Blues should let him go as soon as possible.
So when the move is officially confirmed – it will be best for all involved as the powerhouse is not good enough to lead that attack.
And even though Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have been signed – Chelsea need to splash the cash on a 30-goal season hitman that is for sure.
Pulisic close to summer move –
Christian Pulisic has taken another step towards leaving Chelsea this summer, it has been claimed in the media.
Chelsea now face the prospect of trimming Mauricio Pochettino’s squad ahead of next season and Pulisic is among the players who have been linked with a move away this summer.
The American star was hailed as the next big thing during his time with Borussia Dortmund – but it has not worked out for him at Chelsea and he is now being linked with a move away.
The USA star scored 11 goals in his first season at Chelsea but his contributions have gradually fallen away since then, with Pulisic starting just eight league games last term.
With Chelsea set on trimming their bloated squad this summer, Pulisic is among the clutch of players tipped to move on with Lyon making him a ‘priority signing’ and have approached the player about moving to France, L’Equipe report.
However – it now seems that a move to Italian football is on the cards for the American.
According to ESPN, Pulisic has agreed terms with AC Milan ahead of a potential move
Progress towards finalising a deal this year has now been made ahead of Pulisic’s return to London, with terms not a problem. It is said that negotiations are centred around an asking price of £21.4million ($27.3m), but Milan are only wishing to pay less than £15million ($19m).

There is no doubt that Pulisic has alot of talent – but he simply is not a CHELSEA player and cannot get his best football at Stamford Bridge.
It would be the right decision to move on
So he will surely be hoping that a few can be agreed between the two clubs – it would be a great switch for him to head over to Italian football.
Lawrence delighted with move –
New CHELSEA Women defender Ashley Lawrence has discussed fresh starts after it was confirmed the Canadian has joined the Blues
Supporters will no doubt be looking forward to seeing Lawrence in action for Chelsea next season, and the Canadian international has given us an insight into what to expect from her when she pulls on the blue shirt.
‘I would define myself as a modern day full-back, adding a lot of dynamic on the field. Defensively, I’m relentless! I love one-v-one battles and I have a lot of experience with the Canadian national team and playing with another top club in Europe, defending against top strikers and wingers.
‘On the flip side, going forward putting in quality crosses, being box-to-box and dominating out wide.’
‘I have been following the Women’s Super League. It’s great because you can watch the games on the FA Player app, so it’s accessible to everyone not only in England but all over the world. The league is very exciting, it’s a competitive league and it’s not easy to win.
‘Every game is a challenge. Chelsea have done an amazing job with the amount of trophies they’ve won. It’s not an easy league to be part of and also fighting for European titles as well.’
‘Especially after England won the Euros, I’ve seen the growth in women’s football especially in England. They are a driving force in that field, they’re investing in the women’s game and the fans are coming out to support.
‘It’s on a forward trajectory and this is the perfect time for me to join Chelsea, to be part of this team, this amazing club but also to play in this league. I’m excited for the challenges ahead.’
‘It’s really cool to have two fellow Canadians who are already here at CHELSEA and two top Canadian players. We won the Olympics together and it speaks volumes about the mentality they have and that I have with that experience under your belt. We all have a very competitive mindset and I’ve seen how they have been able to add a lot to Chelsea.
‘Jessie is a few years younger but plays beyond her years and Kadeisha is such a consistent player. She is such a solid defender and a great addition for Chelsea. On the field, it’s amazing because I know how they play and off the field, it will be great for me to get adjusted in a new country. I’m really looking forward to it.’
