Newcastle backed to make summer signing of in-demand powerhouse – Toon ‘Pushing’ for deal to happen
It has been claimed that Newcastle are favourites to sign Tosin Adarabioyo in the summer – despite interest from Chelsea.
Tosin is a player that has been attracting all sorts of impact from from some big Premier League clubs in recent weeks and CHELSEA are reportedly interested in getting a transfer deal done
Tosin has also been targeted by Newcastle and Manchester United, who want to land him on a free transfer. With Raphael Varane leaving United, they are in need of central defenders.
However – Speaking on The Debrief podcast, Romano claimed that he believes Newcastle are still the favourites to sign Adarabioyo despite Chelsea’s pursuit and that we have been working on a deal for him since March.
Here’s what Romano said: “First of all it’s an open situation. I still see Newcastle as favourites because Newcastle started to work on this deal in March. For Tosin there is still discussions ongoing but I see Newcastle as favourites.
“Interest from Chelsea has been there since the final week of March, Chelsea are well informed on Tosin.
“I’m not aware of anything advanced with Chelsea. I’m not sure anything is decided with Chelsea, I think the situation is still quite open with Newcastle pushing to make it happen.”

Adarabioyo is a very good defender that has all the qualities to make a big impact on the Premier League – so if Newcastle do manage to get the man – he will be a brilliant addition to the side.
Adarabioyo needs to make the right choice over the summer as it could have a massive impact on his future – but we are sure he would quickly be loved f he made the move to the Toon.
