Newcastle United have been backed to wrap up a transfer deal for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale as the Gunners are interested in selling the stopper.

Many fans were left speechless when news broke last summer that Arsenal were going to sign David Raya on a loan deal until the end of the season, especially after Aaron Ramsdale really impressed in that Gunners shirt last season, but he has been impressive since his move to the Emirates.

After Another impressive season for ARSENAL – the Gunners are the best defensively sound side in the Premier League and that has helped Raya pick up his first golden glove award.

The Spaniard sealed the honour with two games still to play after keeping his 16th clean sheet of the campaign, and the Gunners have decided to make his stay at the club a permanent one.

The Sun have claimed that Ramsdale knows that his days at Arsenal are up and the Gunners will look to get him off the books if clubs meet that £50M asking price.

And according to reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be a very good signing for Eddie Howe – he told icfootballnews: ‘Ramsdale must know that his time at ARSENAL is up and once the Euros are over – there will be quite a few offers for him to leave the club , he is too good to be sitting on the bench.

A move to Newcastle would be a brilliant move for the man as they are in need of adding a goalkeeper to the side that can add some serious points – but £50m is alot for the player that is for sure.

‘Ramsdale would be a great signing for Newcastle, it is as simple as that.’
