Newcastle free to wrap up £40 million deal after Chelsea make big transfer decision!
Chelsea are reportedly open to letting Callum Hudson-Odoi leave this summer, which would alert the likes of Newcastle United
Bayern Munich have been trying to sign the Blues academy graduate for two years, making four offers – all of which were rejected, but Since then, the 20-year-old winger has found himself at the bottom of a long pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.
Originally used at right-wing-back by the Chelsea manager, Hudson-Odoi quickly became surplus to requirements, and With the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech at the club, Chelsea are in a better position to let Hudson-Odoi leave.
He is also contracted to the club until 2024 after signing new terms in the wake of Bayern’s pursuit in 2019, but The Times reports that the Englishman could finally get his move away from the club this summer.
Bayern are still the favourites to get a transfer deal done, but there has been alot of speculation in the media that Newcastle may also decide to make a cheeky offer to try and acquire the services of Hudson-Odoi.
They have also been very interested in a deal for the man, and will need to sign a few players to stay away from that relegation battle next season
Odoi is certainly a player that could make a real impact at Newcastle should Chelseafc allow him to make the move away from the club, but can we really see the Newcastle paying £40 million for the winger?
But he would be a brilliant signing for the club
