Move over Arsenal as Newcastle to make offer for brilliant £60M Premier League star
It has been claimed that Newcastle United could make another offer to try and sign Arsenal target James Maddison.
The transfer window has been shut for a while now – but that has not stopped speculation about what players the Toon could try and sign in the coming transfer windows
Maddison is a player that the Toon would love to try and sign – according to many reports – especially as he is open to leaving Leicester City at the end of the season in search of a fresh challenge
The Toon have even made moves to try and get a deal done in previous windows- but have been knocked back – but if you believe the words from Reporter Iomie Stanley – Newcastle could make a fresh move for the man
He told IcFootballnews: “They’re tempted to go one more time for James Maddison.
“They’ve been weighing it up. The thing that they really like about James Maddison is that he’s quite flexible in what he can bring to them.
“If you look at Newcastle at the weekend, what [Miguel] Almiron and [Allan] Saint-Maximin offer, it’s just not quite there in terms of if you’re going to knock on the door of the top six.
“They’re just probably going to be short of the creativity needed.”

Newcastle have a very good squad that could challenge for Europe this season – but if they manage to secure the services of James Maddison – he would be a brilliant addition to the side
He has everything to take Newcastle to that next level – and for the right money – fans would love him
However – they will have to beat off Arsenal – as the Gunners are also keen on the man
