Newcastle told world class target ‘Likely to make Premier League’ move

Fabrizio Romano has insisted that there is a big possibility that Newcastle linked Victor Osimhen joins an English club this summer.

The Big Nigeria star has already admitted that he is leaving Napoli – the Italians have already confirmed that he will be getting sold in the summer – meaning that the likes of Arsenal will be able to get a deal done if they meet the £111 million clause.

He said: “In this moment of the market, keep an eye also in England, because Osimhen could be a big possibility. If Napoli changes the price of Victor Osimhen, there could be a possibility for other clubs to enter. For example, Newcastle United are looking for a striker.

Speaking to icfootballnews, Reporter Iomie Stanley said: “Osimhen is very similar to [Erling] Haaland, although not quite up to his level just yet. But he is a fantastic player – very strong, with quality in the final third of the pitch.

“He scores goals in every way, with his right, his left and with headers. He is a complete striker, for me one of the best in the world.

Look, Newcastle have been linked with the striker in previous windows and is just the type of signing that would send a real statement – so if they do let Alexander Isak leave – they will have the money this summer to spend on Osimhen.

Not many clubs will be willing to pay that £111 million buy as we said – the Toon could get £100 million or more for Isak and they could use that money to bring Osimhen to the club.

He has not received any offers yet – so this could be their chance to get the big man all signed up.
