Newcastle ‘VERY INTERESTED’ in signing brilliant AC Milan star this summer!

Newcastle United are reportedly very keen on bringing AC Milan star Fikayo Tomori back to the Premier League this summer.

Tomori was a player that could not make an sort of impact in that Chelsea side during his stay at Stamford Bridge and the decision was made a few seasons ago that he would be allowed to leave, and a move to AC Milan quickly followed.

The defender made 35 appearances across all competitions in 2023/24, helping his side to second-place in the Serie A table, and has firmly established himself as one of the best defenders in Seria A right now.

According to Football Insider, Newcastlehold an interest in tempting Tomori back to English football, and the same outlet alleged earlier this month that contact had been made with the representatives of the former Chelsea defender.

However, despite their interest, it is unlikely that the Italian club will be willing to part with one of their prized assets unless they receive an offer that is far too tempting to turn down this summer.

Since his move to Italian football – Tomori has become a quality defender that is a vital piece of that Milan side – so the rumours linking him with a move away from the club have come as a surprise.

He will be playing Champions League football next season and competing for that Seria A title – so even though the Toon wants him – he could see the move as a step backwards and not forwards, no disrespect to Newcastle.

But if they managed to get the man – he would be an absolutely brilliant signing for the club that is for sure.
