Man United dreaming of signing Madrid star, Belgian confirms Man United interest in £50m man and Striker tipped for big move with Man United linked
Man United dreaming of Niguez deal, United interested in Tielemans deal, Ings tipped for big move in Manchester United roundup…
Belgian journalist Sven Claes has claimed that Manchester United are interested in signing Leicester star Youri Tielemans.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a terrific second season for Leicester, not missing a single Premier League game, though he could not stop them slipping out of the top four on the final day
But Tielemans wrote himself into the Foxes history books with a stunning strike that won his side the FA Cup, but his performances has led to speculation that he could be set for a Foxes departure
The Belgium international has been mooted as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum at Anfield after the Dutchman failed to agree a new contract at the club and left for PSG.
But there is also interest from rivals Man United, as well as an unnamed La Liga giant, according to Belgian journalist Sven Claes, He told Empire of the Kop: “It will be a very difficult decision for Tielemans. The tears speak for themselves after receiving the POTY award two weeks ago.
“When he’ll play a good Euros I expect him to be leaving yes. He’s ready for a new challenge/next step – and I also believe that.
“It’s an absolute talent with an excellent mentality on and off the pitch.
“A lot of clubs like Man U and a Spanish top team already want him.
“He had it difficult in the past at AS Monaco, but at Leicester everyone saw his real qualities again. I think we’ll hear soon more about his near future.”
Tielemans is a special player, but why would he want to leave Leicester Right now?
Former Southampton star Carlton Palmer has backed Danny Ings to leave the club this summer, with Manchester United linked.
Ings enjoyed a phenomenal 2019/20 campaign with Southampton and was amongst the top-flight’s most prominent goalscorers, but Ings suffered a slight drop off in both goals and games this season, netting 12 times after making nine fewer appearances.
However, that has not stopped speculation that some of the big clubs are circling for a potential transfer deal this summer, with Manchester United a club that has been linked with a move.
According to the Telegraph, United are looking at Ings as a target this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his attacking ranks, as he knows that Edinson Cavani will not be able to play every game next season.
Now, amid the speculation, Palmer has backed Danny Ings to leave the club this summer, Speaking to Football FanCast, Palmer believes there’s a reason why Ings hasn’t signed a new Southampton contract amid interest in his services.
He said: “Why would you want to go somewhere and not be a first-team regular? He’s at that stage of his career now [where he should be wanting to play].
“For sure, he’s going to move because there’s a reason why he’s not signed his contract – something’s sorted.
“The only reason why you go to those places now is because it’s a bumper payday.”
United would be a massive move for Ings to make, but at the end of the day, at this stage of his career, it would be the wrong move to make as he would get less game time than he is right now
Manchester United have ‘always dreamed’ of signing wantaway Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to reports.
Saul won his first La Liga title with Atletico this season, but his involvement significantly decreased compared to past seasons. In the previous three campaigns, he made at least 30 league starts as Atletico finished second in both 2018 and 2019 and third in 2020.
However, in 2020/21, he made just 22 starts as Simeone led the club to its first Spanish title win in seven years, and His drop down the pecking order has reportedly resulted in him desiring a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano in the upcoming transfer window.
And According to Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, Saul is ‘determined’ to part ways with Atletico this summer, with Manchester United now ready to try and make a transfer move.
Saul has a £129million (€150m) release clause in his Atletico contract, but with the deal expiring in 2026, the club would accept an offer worth around £69m (€80m), the reports claims
United are mentioned as one interested party, with the report going as far as to say the Red Devils have ‘always dreamed’ of acquiring Saul’s services.
Niguez is a very special player that would be a world class signing for United if they were to step up their chase in the transfer window to try and get some sort of transfer deal done.
Not many players want to leave Madrid, so United would have to offer something special to get a deal done, but he would be worth the money guys
