34-goal star gets Liverpool fans excited – KDB told to make Anfield move – Klopp makes Haaland clam

LIVERPOOL, KLOPP

Darwin Nunez gets fans excited – Klopp addresses Haaland news and KDB told to make Anfield move in Liverpool Roundup….

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes Man City proposed signing of striker Erling Haaland this summer will “set new levels” in the transfer market.

Haaland has been a player that has been linked with the biggest clubs ever since he burst onto the scene just a few seasons ago – but he has really developed into a deadly striker at Borussia Dortmund

It was believed that Real Madrid and Barcelona were hoping to secure a transfer deal for the player – but with their financial issues – they are now out of the race – while Liverpool opted to not pay such a massive amount for the player

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports News, he said: “I signed a new contract knowing that City would not stop developing. It’s not about City to define if we can be happy or not, it’s about us and what we can make of it.

“You have so many opportunities and so many different ways to win a football game, and we have to find just one. It’s possible obviously and we can do that.

“We face City two, three – with cup competitions, the Champions League – five, six times maybe a year but not more often than all the rest.

“If Erling Haaland goes there, it will not weaken them, definitely not. I think there’s enough spoken about this transfer. I know there is a lot of talk out there about money, but this transfer will set new levels, let me say it like this.”

All Man City needed to do was add a new striker to that squad and they could well be in the FA Cup final – in the Champions League final and even further ahead in the Premier League race

Liverpool will need to also add a new striker to that squad in the summer – they will need to send a statement right back to Guardiola that they will not have it all their own way next season

There are a few options out there – so it will be interesting to see just who the Liverpool board make a move for

Nunez Gets Fans Excited…

Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has reportedly got many Liverpool fans excited about a possible move to Anfield in the summer

Nunez has three years left on his deal with Benfica but after a hugely impressive period that has seen him score 34 goals in all competitions this season, the 22-year-old now finds himself linked with a whole host of clubs

The likes of Liverpool – Arsenal – Man City and Newcastle are just a few clubs that have been impressed with the striker this season and are just a few of the clubs that are keen to add to their attack.

But despite failing in a late attempt to sign Benfica forward Darwin Nunez during the January transfer window, according to recent reports in Portugal, Liverpool have not been put off and will try again in the summer.

Now – According to the Daily Express, free-scoring Benfica forward Núñez has sparked excitement among some Liverpool supporters after the 22-year-old ‘liked’ a social media post praising Jürgen Klopp’s relationship with his players.

Nunez is expected to team up with super agent Jorge Mendes who will then starting speaking to top clubs about ‘advance his signing’. But if the Reds are serious about signing Nunez they will need to stump up some serious money, as his transfer fee will not drop below €100million.

If the reports are true and Liverpool are looking to sign one of the most deadly strikers in Europe right now – it would be a massive statement signing from the club

He wants Champions League football and to compete for the biggest trophies and Liverpool can give him that

There is a reason that players move to Liverpool and that is to work with Klopp and win trophies – Nunez would be a fool to turn that opportunity down

De Bruyne claim made…

Stan Collymore has urged Kevin De Bruyne to leave Man City and make the sensational move to Liverpool.

De Bruyne joined City in 2015 and has so far won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and five League Cups, establishing himself as one of players in the world.

However, the one trophy that he really wants – the one that Man City really want – is the Champions League and that has been the one that Pep Guardiola has been unable to bring to the club just yet

City were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals after a late capitulation to Real Madrid, and Collymore believes that De Bruyne will want to move to a club that has a better chance of lifting the coveted cup.

‘I can’t help wondering if it has crossed his [De Bruyne’s] mind that it might be time for a change,’ Collymore told Mirror Sport.

‘As a player, you know when you walk off the pitch whether or not you have had the impact you wanted to have on a game.

‘And after City’s Champions League exit, I’m sure De Bruyne will have been looking around thinking, “Are other people as good as I am? Will they help get me to where I need to be? Do I need to go to a club which is a routine winning machine?”

‘His effectiveness in the biggest one-off games for club and country is actually very poor and maybe it’s time for him to go to a Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich, a club, or more importantly organisation, that has that winning mentality which gets the best out of him.’

Look, De Bruyne is playing for one of the best clubs on the planet for one of the best coaches in the game – so moving to the likes of Madrid – Barcelona – Bayern Munich will not give him a better chance of winning that trophy

Unless Liverpool paid £200 million for the player – Man City will never let him leave and we can never see him swapping Manchester for Liverpool

But how amazing would be be in that Liverpool squad?
