HERE ARE SOME OF THE BIGGEST DEADLINE DAY HEADLINERS FOR CHELSEA FANS –
COLE PALMER TAKES TO SOCIAL MEDIA –
Cole Palmer has taken to social media to address his move from Manchester City to CHELSEA.
The England Under-21 star scored memorable goals in the Community Shield against Arsenal and UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, but has decided to leave the Etihad and continue his career at Stamford Bridge.
In a glowing tribute upon his City exit, Palmer wrote: “Manchester City has been a part of my life for 15 years and it’s all I’ve ever known since the age of 6.
“I have been very lucky to work with some amazing people along the way. To the coaches the staff, the physios and to all the people behind the scenes. I am very grateful and just want to thank you for helping me become who I am today.
“Also I would like to thank my team mates for the most amazing memories we created on and off the pitch together. I will never forget them, it was an honour to play with you all and I wish you all the best of luck.
“Thank you to Pep Guardiola and his staff for the opportunities to play for this amazing club and giving me the memories only a small few can ever dream of, I will be forever grateful.
“Finally to the fans, thanks for all the support you have shown me as one of your own. @mancity will always hold a special place in my heart.
“All the best. Cole.”
POCHETTINO OPENS UP ON PALMER DEAL –
Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Cole Palmer fits the project perfectly at CHELSEA, but it was not his decision to get a deal done.
The England Under-21 star scored memorable goals in the Community Shield against Arsenal and UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, but has decided to leave the Etihad and continue his career at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino said he expected Palmer to be the clubs final signing, but he acknowledged things could change in the coming hours. For now, he is happy with the squad at his disposal, and he explained what he hopes to see Palmer bring to the Blues.
‘I think he fits the project,’ said Pochettino.
‘He is a young, talented player. Of course, he decided to come because he expects to play maybe more and be more important here [than at Man City], but that is not the most important thing. He wanted to come because he has seen the Chelsea project is for him.
‘He wants to improve his game and he needs to show he is better than his team-mates and deserves to play and find his place.
‘We need to be careful with young guys, like experienced players they need time to settle,’ added Pochettino when asked if Palmer could feature tomorrow.
‘He needs to settle because Manchester is different to London, the club and culture is different. Before starting to perform, he needs to settle, be in his space and be comfortable. We will not put pressure on him.’
COLE PALMER EXCITED ABOUT MOVE –
Cole Palmer has opened up and admitted that he is excited after officially completing his move to Chelsea on deadline day.
The 21-year-old has signed a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months. and The deal sees Chelsea pay an initial £40m for the attacking midfielder, with £2.5m due in add-ons.

‘I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign,’ said Palmer. ‘I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here.’
Co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said: ‘Cole arrives with experience of winning the Premier League and Champions League and adds further quality and versatility to our attacking unit.
‘He has showcased his talent and potential in the most challenging environments and delivered on the international stage for England this summer at the European Under-21 Championships. He is undoubtedly ready for this next step and we are delighted it will be with Chelsea.’
SMITH ROWE FREE TO MAKE MOVE TO BLUES –
Arsenal have told Emile Smith Rowe he can complete a permanent move before the window shuts, and CHELSEA have made an offer.
A couple of seasons ago – Smith Rowe was a member of the squad that Mikel Arteta loved to play on a weekly basis – but a series of injuries and some big signings by the Gunners means that he is no longer part of the side.

That has led to many reports in the media that West Ham are interested in a potential deal for the man – but it now seems that Chelsea have contacted Arsenal over a potential deal for Smith-Rowe, according to the Football Insider.
The report says Arsenal could accept a £35-40million offer for Smith Rowe, who has three years left on his contract.
MUSIALA WANTED BY BLUES –
Chelsea are hoping to swoop in and sign Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala this summer, according to the latest reports.
The Bayern starlet notched 16 goals and assists apiece across all competitions last term and is easily regarded as one of the most exciting young players in world football right now, and a man that Bayern have big plans for.
CHELSEA are keen to splash some more money this transfer window and keep on adding to a squad that is simply too big as it is, with recent claims suggesting they are ready to pay close to £70 million to try and sign Musiala.
But despite the transfer speculation – transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed why the Blues’ move for the German is ‘absolutely impossible’ in an interview with GIVEMESPORT.

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “For the other names, at the moment, I’m not aware of any negotiations between Chelsea and Barcelona for Raphinha.
‘Then let’s see if at the end of the window they’ll decide to do but at the moment, they are not negotiating for Raphinha and Jamal Musiala, I think is impossible. I think for Bayern Munich to sell Musiala with two days left of the window is absolutely impossible.”
BARCOLA DECISION MADE –
Paris Saint-Germain have completed the €40m (£34.2m) signing of Lyon forward Bradley Barcola, who Chelsea were keen on signing this transfer window.
Barcola will replace Brazilian superstar Neymar following his move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. He scored seven goals and laid on a further 10 assists for Lyon in all competitions last season.

CHELSEA were heavily tipped to sign the exciting forward this summer after making contact with the French side over a possible deal for the striker – but then PSG made their moves to sign the lad and the player only wanted to move to PSG.
