Chelsea transfer deal OFFICIALLY completed, Lamps told defender will cost £100m to sign, Duo can be next Hazard at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi drops transfer hint
Havertz and Werner tipped to be next Hazard, Chelsea agree Brown deal, Koulibaly for £100 million and Hudson-Odoi drops transfer hint in Chelsea roundup…
MK Dons have completed the permanent signing of Chelsea striker Charlie Brown.
With Carlton Morris departing the club to join Championship outfit Barnsley at the start of the transfer window, the Dons needed to bring in reinforcements up front in order to bring a few more goals to the squad, and have done so with a player that has been prolific at various youth levels.
Brown, 21, made the move to Stamford Bridge from Ipswich Town in 2016, where he netted 53 goals and provided 12 assists in 108 appearances for Chelsea’s Under-23s, Under-19s and Under-18s.
And upon signing for the MK Dons, the talented young striker has opened up and announced his delight at the deal: “I’m over the moon to be here, this is an opportunity I’ve been waiting for and I can’t wait to get on the pitch and show the fans what I can do.”
“The Gaffer has got a really strong plan for the team and I’m really excited to be a part of that and have the opportunity to help the Club get to where it wants to be.”
“I’ve seen the way the team plays, with a lot of possession and creating a lot of chances for the strikers. It’s going to be up to me to finish those chances off and I’ll be looking to do that as often as I can!”
Callum Hudson-Odoi is determined to learn from Frank Lampard to reach his true potential, pretty much ending all the Chelsea transfer speculation surrounding his future
Hudson-Odoi is regarded as one of the finest and most exciting talents at the club and decided to agree a new contract two summers ago, believing that he would become a superstar over the next few years.
However, he has not had the 12 months that he would have liked and has fallen down the pecking order a bit, leading to suggestions that Chelsea would indeed be open to the idea of letting him leave at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich interested.
But after winning is way back into contention at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi has pretty much ended speculation on his future with Chelsea and revealed that he is determined to learn everything he possibly can from coach Lampard.
He told the club’s website: “Nobody is a perfect player. There are always flaws and you want to keep improving every day.
“I want to keep working hard and learning every day. I want to keep educating myself whether it’s at home watching clips or just learning under the manager.
“He knows what to do and he knows what is right for me and how to play so I want to keep learning under him and working hard.
“Every time I get on the pitch or in training, I want to give my best every time. I want to give 110 per cent in the match. I want to always make sure that I’m ready. The best way you train is the best way you play in a game.”
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned the likes of Chelsea they must offer at least £100m if they want to sign Kalidou Koulibaly this month.
Koulibaly is easily regarded as one of the most powerful and dominant players in the Italian Leagues, and has developed into one of the most impressive defenders in world football, which has alerted all the biggest clubs.
Despite signing Thiago Silva in the summer, there has been alot of speculation that Chelsea are still very much interested in trying to sign Koulibaly, should he come onto the market, and are plotting to make a move at the end of the season, if you believe all the reports.
But Koulibaly, whose contract expires in summer 2023, has played in 18 games for Napoli this season, helping keep seven clean sheets, will not come cheap, as the likes of Chelsea have been warned that they will have to pay close to £100 million to secure a transfer deal
De Laurentiis spoke to Jim White, and the Sky Sports News’ presenter relayed his conversation on talkSPORT.
“This morning, I spoke to Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli owner, and said what about your player, are there bids in for him? He laughed it off saying he’s not for sale.
“It seems on this occasion Koulibaly is going nowhere. He stays and that was as recent as this morning. Anyone going in with anything other than £100million for Koulibaly can forget it.
“He’s absolutely not for sale unless one of the big clubs in England come up with £100million.”
Frank Lampard has tipped Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to shine at Stamford Bridge like Eden Hazard before them, despite their early struggles.
Both Havertz and Werner were the two big summer signings of last summer after Chelsea managed to beat off a whole bunch of clubs to get a transfer deal done for the pair.
They shone in the Bundesliga and scored goals for fun, but since their move to the premier League, they have not had the same kind of impact on the squad, which has led to alot of people believing that they will not be good enough to compete in the English game.
But after the pair shone against Morecombe at the weekend, Lampard has opened up and tipped the German pair to go on and become a legend Like Hazard was. He told talkSPORT: “The people that question them should look at other top players that have come at a young age to this country.
“Eden Hazard is a great example… he came here and became one of our greater players ever.
“It’s not an easy transition to this league. It’s a hard league.
“I think people that question them should give them time because they are great lads and we signed them for now and the future.
“I understand the questions as it’s the world we live in. They will prove to be big players for the club.”
There is no doubt that these two players have the quality and ability to go on and become two world class players for Chelsea, they just need patients and time.
The Premier League is not an easy one for players to make a name for themselves straight away, but the fact that they are both young means that there is enough time to prove alot of people wrong
