Chelsea news: 16-goal star pens message to Blues fans after sealing deadline day move!

Callum Hudson-Odoi has penned an emotional statement to the Chelsea fans following his move to Nottinghgam Forest.

The 22-year-old came through the CHELSEA’ academy, before helping the side win the Champions League in 2021, but he has failed to hold down a regular starting spot in recent years, with the player leaving in search of first team football.

He has agreed a three-year deal with Nottingham Forest and has sent a message to Chelsea fans thanking them for all their support over the 16 years that he has been associated with the Blues.

Taking to Instagram, the winger said: “For the longest time, Chelsea has been my home.

“I spent the best part of my childhood, teenage years and early manhood wearing a Chelsea shirt.  My best memories will always be playing in front of you all at The Bridge

“I will embark on this new pathway, but before I do, I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has been a part of my journey and to everyone that has supported me so far.

“Until we meet again… CHO.”

Hudson-Odoi scored 16 goals in 126 games for the Blues and has picked up three England caps.

COLE PALMER TAKES TO SOCIAL MEDIA – 

Cole Palmer has taken to social media to address his move from Manchester City to CHELSEA.

The England Under-21 star scored memorable goals in the Community Shield against Arsenal and UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, but has decided to leave the Etihad and continue his career at Stamford Bridge.

In a glowing tribute upon his City exit, Palmer wrote: “Manchester City has been a part of my life for 15 years and it’s all I’ve ever known since the age of 6.

“I have been very lucky to work with some amazing people along the way. To the coaches the staff, the physios and to all the people behind the scenes. I am very grateful and just want to thank you for helping me become who I am today.

“Also I would like to thank my team mates for the most amazing memories we created on and off the pitch together. I will never forget them, it was an honour to play with you all and I wish you all the best of luck.

“Thank you to Pep Guardiola and his staff for the opportunities to play for this amazing club and giving me the memories only a small few can ever dream of, I will be forever grateful.

“Finally to the fans, thanks for all the support you have shown me as one of your own. @mancity will always hold a special place in my heart.

POCHETTINO OPENS UP ON PALMER DEAL – 

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Cole Palmer fits the project perfectly at CHELSEA, but it was not his decision to get a deal done.

The England Under-21 star scored memorable goals in the Community Shield against Arsenal and UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, but has decided to leave the Etihad and continue his career at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino said he expected Palmer to be the clubs final signing, but he acknowledged things could change in the coming hours. For now, he is happy with the squad at his disposal, and he explained what he hopes to see Palmer bring to the Blues.

‘I think he fits the project,’ said Pochettino.

‘He is a young, talented player. Of course, he decided to come because he expects to play maybe more and be more important here [than at Man City], but that is not the most important thing. He wanted to come because he has seen the Chelsea project is for him.

‘He wants to improve his game and he needs to show he is better than his team-mates and deserves to play and find his place.

‘We need to be careful with young guys, like experienced players they need time to settle,’ added Pochettino when asked if Palmer could feature tomorrow.

‘He needs to settle because Manchester is different to London, the club and culture is different. Before starting to perform, he needs to settle, be in his space and be comfortable. We will not put pressure on him.’

COLE PALMER EXCITED ABOUT MOVE – 

Cole Palmer has opened up and admitted that he is excited after officially completing his move to Chelsea on deadline day.

The 21-year-old has signed a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months. and The deal sees Chelsea pay an initial £40m for the attacking midfielder, with £2.5m due in add-ons.

‘I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign,’ said Palmer. ‘I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here.’

Co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said: ‘Cole arrives with experience of winning the Premier League and Champions League and adds further quality and versatility to our attacking unit.

‘He has showcased his talent and potential in the most challenging environments and delivered on the international stage for England this summer at the European Under-21 Championships. He is undoubtedly ready for this next step and we are delighted it will be with Chelsea.’

BARCOLA DECISION MADE – 

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the €40m (£34.2m) signing of Lyon forward Bradley Barcola, who Chelsea were keen on signing this transfer window.

Barcola will replace Brazilian superstar Neymar following his move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. He scored seven goals and laid on a further 10 assists for Lyon in all competitions last season.

CHELSEA were heavily tipped to sign the exciting forward this summer after making contact with the French side over a possible deal for the striker – but then PSG made their moves to sign the lad and the player only wanted to move to PSG.

The 20-year-old French forward fits in with the new PSG strategy of buying young, hungry players.

Zak Sturge has completed a season-long loan to Peterborough United.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘The young defender heads to the League One side for his first taste of senior football, having impressed for both our Under-18 and Under-21 sides since joining from Brighton.

‘Sturge, who can play in the centre of defence or as an attack-minded left-back, will team up with Darren Ferguson’s side and could make his debut against Portsmouth this weekend.

LUKAKU CANT WAIT TO GET STARTED – Romelu Lukaku is ready and raring to go at Roma.

Speaking to after his loan move from CHELSEA, he said: “The welcome I’ve received from this club and its fans has excited me and given me even more motivation to give my all for my new team.

“As an opponent, I felt the atmosphere of the Stadio Olimpico, and felt the warmth of the Romanisti.

“It’s nice to know I’m a part of it today. I recently got the opportunity to speak with the owners, and I was impressed by their ambition.
