Sorry Liverpool as £60m winger Hudson-Odoi ‘will sign deal’ with Chelsea this summer…if

Reports have claimed Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new £100,000-a-week Chelsea deal, if he is guaranteed regular football next season.

The youngster is one of the most highly-rated wingers in world football after an impressive season at Stamford Bridge this season and his performances for Maurizio Sarri’s side over the past 12 months have caught the attentions of Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of the winger as he seeks to add some more depth to his ranks in the summer, while Bayern have already made three moves to sign the talent during the January window, but Chelsea rejected all three as they did not want to lose the winger.

The 18-year-old appeared to picked up a serious Achilles injury towards the end of the season, ruling him out until September at the earliest and scuppering any chance of sealing a move away from the club.

And that led to many reports which suggested that Hudson-Odoi was very close to signing a new £100,000-a-week deal, especially as the club lost star man Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this month.

Now according to The Sun, Hudson-Odoi is eager for assurances over his playing time from whoever will be in charge next season before he fully commits to a new long-term deal.

A Blues source is quoted saying: “It’s never been about money for Callum, it’s far more about his development. Chelsea is the team he supported as a boy and he wants to play for them.
“But if he can’t play enough, he won’t improve – and that doesn’t suit him or the club.”

Chelsea are keen to keep the winger at the club, and they will be hoping that this time out will give him the chance to consider things and sign that long-term contract that Chelsea have reportedly left on the table.

Hudson-Odoi is the future of Chelsea and they need him to stay, as he will develop into a world class winger if he is given the game time ne needs to develop.
