Prem star responds on possible Chelsea move, Blues have next William Gallas, claims Cole, Abramovic makes £100m transfer decision

Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from

Chelsea have been told that Fikayo Tomori will eventually become a top defender in the next few years.

After being unable to sign any new players during the summer transfer window, it meant that Blues boss Frank Lampard had to bring back a number of talents to help him get through this tough season as Chelsea coach, and one man that was quickly brought back was that of Tomori.

The young defender has been impressive since being given a chance this season under Lampard, and He looked generally assured at the back, despite the clubs inability to keep clean-sheets on a regular basis.

With pace, power and a remarkable reading of the game for a 21-year-old, there have been many out there that firmly believe that Tomori will develop into a class act for Chelsea in the coming seasons, if he is given the time and patients to earn a regular place in Lampards side.

Former Chelsea player and manager Hoddle is excited about the potential of Tomori, and expects him to reach the top of the sport, telling the BT Sport website: ‘The kid has got great pace, youthful tanacity, doesn’t give up. ‘That’s what you get from young players, the energy.

‘Imagine getting that from David Luiz, no disrespect, he’s at a different stage of his career, he wouldn’t be able to do it. In two or three years time I think he’s going to be a top, top defender.’

Chelsea are interested in signing Lewis Cook from Bournemouth, but the midfielder has responded to the speculation surrounding his future.

Chelsea are reportedly making contact with players’ agents as they plan for a busy January transfer window in the hope that their current ban is lifted, as the Blues expect the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to cut short their transfer ban, which was imposed by FIFA in February.

It will mean that Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch, and one player that could see a move made by the Blues is that of Cook, according to the Daily Mirror.

He returned to action last month after a long-term injury and is now looking to rediscover the form that saw him make his full England debut and sign a new Bournemouth contract, and if he does so, the Premier League heavyweights are reportedly said to be interested.

It is no secret that boss Frank Lampard is keen to keep the trend of adding some of the best young English talents to his squad after seeking the likes of Reece James, Tammy ABraham, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori all impress during the early stages of the new season.

But despite all the transfer speculation surrounding his future, Cook says he is fully focused on his job at Bournemouth right now, telling the Daily Echo: ‘I have just started playing football here [again]. I had been out for a long time, so I am just focusing on Bournemouth at the moment.’

Lewis added: ‘Definitely. I am enjoying my football here, it’s a great place to be and play great football.’

Reports have claimed that Juventus are keen to sign up Ngolo Kante in the next couple of transfer windows, but Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has made a big transfer decision.

Kante is easily regarded as the best holding midfielder in the game right now and is a main reason why Chelsea were so defensively sound before Maurizio Sarri came in and decided to play the Frenchman in a more forward thinking attack.

But there has been some speculation in the media over the past few days which has suggested that Juventus coach Sarri is keen to take the little midfielder to Juventus during the next couple of transfer windows, and is reportedly ready to pay the £100 million price tag on the Frenchman’s head.

But Sky Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano has come out and claimed that Juventus are not closing in on a potential deal for the World Cup winner, as Roman Abramovic has decided that Kante is far too important a player to let go over the next few transfer windows.

The Frenchman has endured a difficult start to the new Premier League season as injuries have kept him on the sidelines, but he is still regarded as one of the best midfielders in the game and a big part of the exciting future for Chelsea.

Former Liverpool ace Steve Nicol recently stated there is no way Chelsea will allow Kante to leave the club and does not think the midfielder will want the move anyway, he told the ESPN website: “Well Sarri’s a big fan but how long’s Sarri going to be there? And do Chelsea really want to let arguably their best player go? I don’t see how that happens whatsoever.

“There’s not one reason I can come up with to suggest that Kante would go to Juventus, whether it’s through his desire or certainly will have no desire to let him go.

“I’m sorry, Kante leaving Chelsea? No. I think there’s more chance of Lampard leaving Chelsea, and that’s not very high.”

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has big Chelsea claim regarding Blues hitman Tammy Abraham.

Despite a few critical performances from Abraham at the beginning of the season, the Blues hitman has repaid the faith in him by Lampard by becoming the top scorer at Chelsea and joint top-scorer in the Premier League with 8 goals.

His performances for Chelsea in the opening weeks of the season has also led to a lot of transfer speculation in the media that former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could actually leave the club and seek a move elsewhere, as he is not happy with playing second fiddle to the Englishman.

Chelsea have reportedly been in talks with Abraham about a new deal for months and there is constant rumours that a deal ‘is close’, and now Italian Journalist Romano has come out and made a huge claim that the video reveals. Enjoy guys

Fikayo Tomori reminds Joe Cole of a young William Gallas, the former Chelsea midfielder has claimed.

With David Luiz’s departure, Frank Lampard was unable to sign any players as there was simply not enough time left in the transfer window, and they are still banned from trying to acquire players over the next two windows, meaning that Tomori was brought back to the club to be placed in the first-team squad.

The young defender has been impressive since being given a chance this season under Lampard, and He looked generally assured at the back, despite the clubs inability to keep clean-sheets on a regular basis.

And that has led to recent speculation on the Football.London website that has suggested that he will be a number of first-team players at the club that Chelsea will be keen to sign up in the coming months.

With pace, power and a remarkable reading of the game for a 21-year-old, Cole predicts a long and bright future with the Blues for the centre-back, telling the BT Sport website: ‘He reminds me a lot of the young [William] Gallas. For me his development has been absolutely perfect. He’s had his whole youth at Chelsea in the academy, then he’s gone on loan to Derby.

‘The first six months is under Frank, then Ashley Cole’s come in to play next to him, and Ashley used to speak to him every game, you couldn’t think of a better way to educate him to become a top centre-half.

‘You look at young centre-halves and you look at what they’re going to be like two or three years down the line and he will get even better.’
