Chelsea is thrilled to announce Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension until 2033
Palmer has been rewarded for his brilliant season last year with a bumper new contract with fresh terms, with his deal now not set to expire for another nine years.
CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘Cole produced one of the outstanding debut Chelsea campaigns after joining the club last summer. He netted 25 goals in all competitions, was named the Premier League Young Player of the Season, and scooped the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season honours.
‘He set or matched club records along the way and made his mark on the international stage with England, becoming only the second player in the country’s history to score in a European Championship final.
‘Cole arrived at Stamford Bridge last August from Manchester City and required little time to make an impact. He netted his first goal on his third Blues start – a now trademark nerveless penalty – and established himself as a key figure in our attack.
‘There were big goals in big matches from Cole during the first half of the 2023/24 season, most notably at home against Arsenal and Manchester City and away to Tottenham Hotspur. More followed in the final months of the campaign, including back-to-back Stamford Bridge hat-tricks against Manchester United and Everton.
‘Cole became the first Chelsea player to achieve that feat in a single season – and later became just the third Blue to score at least 20 goals in their debut campaign.
‘He had a similar impact on the international stage. After earning his first England cap in November 2023, Cole cemented his place in the squad heading into this summer’s European Championship. Cole made five appearances at the tournament in Germany and stepped up when the pressure was at its greatest with an assist in the semi-final and a goal in the final.
‘Cole returned to Cobham last week to begin his preparations for the 2024/25 season and everyone at the club is excited to support him in his development in the coming years.

On signing the new deal – Cole said: ‘I’m delighted to sign this new deal.
‘I achieved a lot in my first season here and hopefully I can continue to experience great things at this club, both on a personal level and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea.’
