One of games very best suggests he will be a Liverpool player over summer!
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is fully committed to helping new manager Arne Slot as the club transitions to the post-Jurgen Klopp era.
After months of speculation and rumours – Feynoord boss Arne Slot will be the man that takes over from Jurgen Klopp after the board decided that he was the man that will take over from the German.
He is coming to Anfield with a big reputation in the game and a man that likes to play entertaining football, but he will also need to get some transfer business done in order to get his new side playing the way he likes.
Mohamed Salah has been in the media over the past few days as there are more rumours that he could leave the club, but there has been alott of speculation about the future of powerful defender Van Dijk too.
Van Dijk is also in the final year of his contract and with him now 32-years-old, a decision has to be made on what comes next for him too and while the Netherlands international admits “change is sometimes a little bit scary” he trusts the club to make the right decisions following Klopp’s departure after eight-and-a-half years.
“My future is not important at the moment. At the moment there is nothing for me to say,” said the 32-year-old defender after the club bade an emotional farewell to Klopp following the 2-0 victory over Wolves.
“Nothing has changed and nothing is on the table either. No changes in my situation at all.
“The only thing I can say now is if I have a farewell I don’t think I would keep it dry (not cry) because that was something I was very surprised with with him (Klopp).”
