Chelsea ‘Have Made Move’ To Sign 26-Year Old Powerful Defender To Replace Thiago Silva

It has been claimed that Chelsea have made a move to sign in-demand Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo ahead of the summer window.

After the announcement was made by Thiago Silva just last week that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season, there has been endless speculation about defenders that CHELSEA could sign to replace the Brazilian star.

Some big names have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past few weeks – but it now seems that the Chelsea board are eyeing a move for the impressing Adarabioyo, who is also wanted by Premier League rivals Newcastle.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Blues have also been in contact over a deal for the defender: “Understand Chelsea as well as Newcastle are among clubs informed on conditions of the deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo as a free agent,” Romano wrote on X.

It’s no secret that the Blues are looking to bring in a new centre-back this summer and could now ruin Newcastle’s transfer plans.

The 26-year-old centre-back is a key player for the Cottagers but they have been unable to convince him to extend his contract, which expires in June.

Losing Thiago Silva was not a massive shock to the system for many CHELSEA fans that is for sure, many expected him to depart the club when his current contract ended at the club.

However – making a move for Adarabioyo will come as a shock to many, as he is not really the calibre of player that could come in and replace Silva – he is just a solid defender.

It will be interesting to see just who the club sign in the summer, but signing Adarabioyo will not get Chelsea’s rivals worried that is for sure.
