Red Devils legend opens up and has special message for this Manchester United star!

Man United great Gary Pallister has hailed Harry Maguire’s impact at Old Trafford since his move last summer.

United have not been the same side that dominated the Premier League over the seasons, and they have seen the brilliance of both Manchester City and Liverpool start to dominate the League title wins.

But they have started buying the players that will help take the club back to the very top, stars like Maguire, who have come in and helped make United more of a force than they were last season.

And after helping Manchester United back inside the Champions League spots for next season, Pallister has opened up and hailed the impact that the £80 million rated defender has had on the side.

“I think he’s terrific,” Pallister said on the club website. “I think he’s rightly got the captaincy; he’s one of the talkers.

“He’s not the type of leader that Bryan Robson, Steve Bruce and Roy Keane were, but I think he’s got an assurance about him that the players respond to.

“I think, for his first season, he’s been terrific. He’s comfortable on the ball, you saw it on Sunday [at Leicester City], getting his head to things when the balls are chucked into the box.

“He’s dominant there and he’s exactly the type of centre-back that Manchester United needed.”

Pallister added “[Victor] Lindelof has had a really good season as well. He’s not as dominant as Harry, but I think he’s complimented him.

“He’s got the hang of the Premier League: the physicality and the pace of it. I think he went from strength to strength.”

Maguire has added a bit of leadership to the side that has been missing for many seasons now and is starting to look like a world class defender, he has been a top signing and fully deserves all the praises that he gets.
