Palmer deal done and dusted, Barella hijacking despite talks, Higuain deal agreed in Chelsea news and Gossip

Here is the daily roundup of Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from IcFootballnews.com

Fresh reports have now claimed on-loan AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain has agreed to join Chelsea.

The Argentine striker scored 36 goals in Serie A during the 2015/16 season at Napoli under Maurizio Sarri, and the Chelsea boss is reportedly desperate to be reunited with the Argentine striker.

Chelsea have some of the best attacking players in the game right now, but do not have that striker that could land 20-30 goals a season and help them achieve their goals.

Alvaro Morata has flopped since his move to Chelsea last season, and recent reports have suggested that he could be on his way to Sevilla after talks were reportedly opened between the player and the Spanish giants.

Olivier Giroud is not seen as a permanent front-man and is the kind of player that Sarri likes to use off the bench, meaning he has had to settle for little game time this season.

And according to Spanish website Marca, Sarri is about to get his dream signing in the shape of Higuain, as he has reportedly agreed a short-term move to Stamford Bridge.

Bristol City have completed the loan signing of Kasey Palmer from Chelsea, reports have revealed.

Palmer spent the first half of the season on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he scored three goals in 17 appearances, but he has not been able to impress Maurizio Sarri enough to earn a place in his squad.

So now he will spend the second half of the season at Bristol, and head coach Lee Johnson is delighted to have the 22-year old at the club.

Johnson said on the Sky Sports website: “I’m delighted we have been able to sign Kasey Palmer on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season and it’s great to get this done so early in the window.

“Kasey is a very good player who can play through the middle and out wide; he can create openings as well as score goals and I’m excited about what he can bring to our squad.

“We’ve got 20 scheduled league games left, plus the FA Cup, and Kasey will be able to help us continue the momentum we have built.”

Reports have claimed Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea target Nicolo Barella from Cagliari.

The 21-year-old Italy international, who is under contract at the Serie A side until 2022, has been linked with Chelsea in recent days as Maurizio Sarri seeks a replacement for Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas is heading to Monaco and Sarri has already admitted that he may need a signing this month, as the Spaniard will leave him with only five midfielders.

And Barella, who is regarded as an outstanding talent, has become a top transfer target after another impressive start to the new season, in which his performances has attracted interest from a whole host of big clubs.

Reports have even gone as far to say that Chelsea are in talks with the midfielder in hope of sealing a deal this month, but are not happy with paying the £45 million that Cagliair are seeking.

But according to Gianluca Di Marzio.com, Arsenal ahve now entered the chase to sign the highly-rated 21-year old and are prepared to meet the asking price of Cagliari, although they are not prepared to do a deal this month and are keen to wait until the summer.

However, the Italians are prepared to sell this month and will sell to Chelsea if the Blues come around to what the player is worth now, and will eventually be worth in a few seasons time.
