Big West Ham News – £85M Valued Midfielder Has Already Agreed Summer Move

It seems that West Ham will be losing one of their best players in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The season still has a few more weeks left before it comes to its conclusion – but if you believe the latest reports Man City are closing in on the signing of Lucas Paqueta.

City have a personal agreement with the Brazilian in place over his wages as they prepare to sign him in the summer transfer window, Foot Mercato reports

City attempted to sign the midfielder from the east London team last summer, but they pulled out of the reported £85 million deal because an investigation into alleged betting breaches was opened up by the Football Association

But the midfielder has once again impressed Man City boss Pep Guardiola and has scored eight goals and registered seven assists in all competitions this season

However, City and West Ham are still waiting on the FA’s verdict into the betting probe with the player’s future currently stuck in limbo.

If the reports are true and Paqueta is moving to Man City – it is a massive move for the midfielder to make and one that will leave many West Ham fans disappointed.

However – West Ham fans always knew that the midfielder wanted to play Champions League football and win some trophies – so if he does depart the club at the end of the season – we are sure that they will not be too unhappy for the man.

Especially as they can use the money to invest.
