Legend encourages Arsenal to sign brilliant Premier League powerhouse
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has encouraged Arsenal to sign Brentford Star Ivan Toney as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal spent some serious money in the Summer transfer window and acquired players that have really made an impact on the side – and Jesus is a man that has really impressed.
However – after picking up an injury during the World Cup in Qatar – he will be out for a serious amount of time and Arsenal will once again need to delve into that transfer kitty.
Arsenal had earmarked a wide forward and a central midfielder as priorities, but an experience Centre forward now looks a necessity and Parlour believes Brentford’s Toney fits the bill.
Parlour said to Sports Lens: “The problem you’re going to have in January is who’s available? I’ve always said Ivan Toney of Brentford. I’d go and try to get him if I could.
“I don’t think you’ll get him in this window but he’s who I’d go for.
“I think he’s similar to Ian Wright the way he plays and scores his goals. I know Marcus Thuram at Borussia Mönchengladbach could be available because his contract is up at the end of the year,”

There is no doubt that Arsenal have the quality to cope without Jesus up top – they really have an exciting squad.
But if they managed to acquire the signing of Toney – he would be a brilliant signing for the club – he could be perfect for Mikel Arteta.
He is big, powerful and has the clear ability to lead that front-line on his own – and when he signs for a big club – he will show why he is valued at so much money.
